• It obviously matters when people don’t actually know
you as a person. ( first impression)

• As a communication tool – It sends out messages about you
– If the FIRST IMPRESSION isn’t right, you don’t get the chance
to make a second – Empathy expedites business relationship
– You are the corporate image – that is a position ofresponsibility in itself
• As means to achievement
– A POSITIVE PRESENT will be treated positively. “halo effect”or ‘Horns effect” – we may assume that someone whocomplains a lot is also boring, unsociable and weak.
– Appearing “successful’ means, that PEOPLE BUY YOU . Youmust be good at what you do. Others therefore wants you.
