Today is International Transgender Visibility Day we will be sharing some statistics and stories that may be triggering.

International Transgender Visibility Day
While lesbians and gays outnumber transgender people six to one transgender people are murdered at a 50% higher rate than gays and lesbians.
At least 41% of transgender people in the U.S. have attempted suicide compared to the 2.9% of the general population.
Approximately 20% of transgender people are homeless compared to the 1% of the general population.
80% of transgender youth reported feeling unsafe at school because of their gender expression and more than 50% of transgender youth will attempt suicide before ager 20.
