INTRODUCTION• Of the Nature reserve of Cazorla's saws, Sure and the

Villas it is wherefrom it sprouts the water that crosses Andalusia, of there the big river of the Arabs is born, the Guadalquivir finally to finish in the Atlantic Ocean. But also the river is born Sure that it waters with his waters the Mediterranean.

• The Nature reserve of Cazorla's Saws, Sure and the Villas it is the protected area of major surface in the whole Spain, with 214.336 hectares. It is placed to the North-East of the province of Jaen and borders on the provinces of Granada and Albacete

VEGETATION• In these saws one finds the major extension of pinegroves of

the whole Spain, with representation of almost all the species, though the most abundant is the pine laricio. These species were repopulated some time ago and his development has met favored for the abundance of rainfalls.

• Up to 900 meters of altitude they find the forests of aleppo pine, which is accompanied by trees srtawberry and lentiscos, as recollection of the Mediterranean forest that there existed. Rising in altitude we find forests of oaks, quejijos and important zones of maritime pine.

• Of more than 2.170 catalogued species, 34 are sole rights of this territory, as Cazorla's violet

Fauna• The fauna that we can find here is so rich as the one that is located

in Doñana. There are 50 species of exclusive invertebrates. Between the reptiles stands out Valverde's small lizard that was discovered in 1958 and lives between the fissures of the rocks. To all that we can add six species of amphibians, between them Alytes dickhilleni (Toad Andalusian midwife). 130 of birds and 30 mammals that receive these places.

• Other species like the bear or the wolf lived here up to only a few decades ago, and now estan trying to recover some of them, since it is the case of the osprey.

• Greedy birds, and one of the major entomological wealths of the Iberian Peninsula. Between the greedy birds they can eagle turns perdicera, and golden eagle, goshawk, tawny vulture, royal owl and falcons.
