SUBJECT 2013 METROBANK FOUNDATION SEARCH FOR THE COUNTRY'S

OUTSTANDING POLICE OFFICERS IN SERVICE (COPS)

The Metrobank Foundation, Inc. together with its partners, the Rotary Club of NewManila East, PS Bank and Philippine National Police, announce the start of the 2013Metrobank Foundation Search for the Country's Outstanding Police Officers in Service(COPS).

COPS is a nationwide search that honors the career achievements of gallant policeofficers of the nation with minimum of seven years in service and actively mobilized,involved and organized the community to become fellow vanguards of peace and order.

The Search is open to all Police Officers who have been in the service for at leastseven (7) consecutive years by the time of the deadline of nomination.

Below are the mechanics of the Search:

1. For the "Commissioned Officers" category, nominees must possess the rank of atleast Police Inspector to Police Superintendent until the official Conferment ofAward in June 2013. If a nominee, holding a rank of Superintendent, is promotedto the next higher rank, the effectivity of promotion should be after June, 2013 tomake him/her eligible for the award;

2. For the "Non-Commissioned Officers" category, nominees must possess the rankof at least Police Officer 1 to Senior Police Officer 4 until the official Confermentof Award in June, 2013. If a nominee, holding a rank of SP04, is promoted to thenext higher rank, the effectivity of promotion should be after June, 2013 to makehim/her eligible for the award;

3. Any of the following can nominate to the competition:

a. Local Chief Executive;b. Direct Supervisor in the PNP (immediate, former, and/or current);c. PNP Regional Director;d. Rotary Club;e. NGO Leader;f. Church Organization;g. TV/Radio Station Manager; orh. Print Media Publisher/Editor-in-Chief

4. Nominees should submit their duly accomplished Nomination Form and latest 2x2photo directly or by registered mail to Metrobank Foundation, 4th Floor,Metrobank Plaza, Sen. Gil J. Puyat Ave., Makati City, or to the nearest Metrobankor PS Bank Branch not later than February 28, 2013. No supporting documentsare required yet;

5. Nominators are required to sign the Nomination Form after answering thequestion "What makes the nominee deserving of the distinction of a Country'sOutstanding Police Officer in Service (COPS)?"at the back portion of the form;

6. Each awardee will receive a cash prize of Php 300,000.00 and a trophy courtesy ofthe Philippine National Police; and

7. Once the nominee is qualified for the 2nd phase of the Search, he/she will beinformed through the PNP Regional Director or National Support Unit Director tosubmit the supporting documents in five (5) copies in separate folders to theMetrobank Foundation Officer or nearest Metrobank or PS Bank Branches on orbefore March 30,2013.

Nomination Forms can be obtained in all police stations through the PhilippineNational Police. The nominator or the nominee can also get a copy at the nearest Metrobankor PS Bank branch in their area or it can be downloaded from the following websites:

In this connection, all Local Chief Executives are encouraged to actively support theabovementioned Search by nominating the best police officers in their localities.
