Sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) - gas (molecule)

SF6 is an important medium in the electrical industry where it is used as a quenching and insulating gas for enclosed medium and high voltage switchgear. The excellent properties of SF6-gas allow the operation of economical, low-maintenance plants. Compared with usual plants, space saving is up to 90 %. No other technologies are available at the moment. From the technical, economical and ecological point of view better alternatives for SF6-gas as an insulating and quenching agent have not yet been known. However, it is very important for the user to understand the following processes: • SF6 - emissions should be avoided, wherever possible • Examination of the gas condition and regeneration methods • Recovery, purification and storage of used SF6-gas • Purification of SF6-gas for reuse

1.1. Reuse of SF6-gas Today the principal application of SF6 (sulphur hexafluoride) is in electrical equipment where it has been used for more than 25 years as a gaseous insulator in switchgear. If revisions of such plants are carried out the SF6-gas should be reincorporated into the economical cycle rather than be released into the atmosphere. In case the quality criterion is fulfilled used SF6-gas from plant components can be reused. Ecologically speaking, this approach would minimize the release of SF6 into the atmosphere to a very small number of leakages in switchgear. Such a systematic reuse of SF6-gas requires a permanent quality control and strict observance of the quality standard according to IEC 60376 for new gas and IEC 60480 for used gas. The DILO devices allow an absolute safe purification and reuse of SF6-gas.

1.2. Control of the gas quality A permanent control of the SF6-gas quality in switchgear would basically be advantageous. Thus you receive information on the SF6-gas condition as well as on the functional reliability of the switchgear. Probable gas contamination could be recognized and eliminated in time before causing any failure or fatal breakdown of switchgear. Prior to each gas removal the below-mentioned parameters are to be measured:

• Decomposition products

• SF6-concentration

• Dew point temperature The DILO-measuring devices fulfil the following requirements:

• short measuring time - portable and easy to operate The purifying and reusing method can be determined according to the measuring results. 1.3 Recovery, purification and storage of used SF6-gas For recovering and storing SF6-gas DILO offers a wide range of gas handling devices for the maintenance of medium voltage switchgears, outdoor circuit breakers and gas insulated switchgear. The suitable service cart can be selected with regard to the gas quantity, cycle time and corresponding appli-cation. All DILO devices - which allow purifi-cation of SF6 - are equipped with the following components:

Compressors: All compressors used by DILO are absolutely oilfree. They are available with a final pressure of 24 bar for gaseous or up to 50 bar for liquid storage. Vacuum compressors: Suction pumps: The combination compressor and vacuum compressor allows an oilfree recovery of SF6-gas down to a gas compartment pressure of min. 50 mbar. However, oilfree suction pumps for recovering SF6-gas down to a final pressure of 1 mbar are available as well. Vacuum pumps: Prior to filling, gas compartments have to be evacuated in order to avoid mixing with air. For this purpose oil-lubricated vacuum pumps are used which only release gas into the atmosphere. They are only used for the evacuation of air. The standard pumps allow evacuating the gas compartments before refilling with SF6-gas down to 1 mbar. Vacuum pumps with a higher final vacuum are also available. Filter unit - pre-filter: In order to recover SF6-gas from circuit breakers the gas is automatically led through dry filters and particle filters. Decomposition products, moisture and solid particles are effectively retained. For very contaminated gas the quality of which is undefined, it is absolutely necessary to install an additional prefilter upstream from the gas handling device in order to protect it from decomposition products. The maintenance interval for the exchange of the filter cartridges depends on different factors and cannot be standardized. Therefore the measurement of the gas quality is recommended. 1.4 Purification of the SF6-gas for reuse As already mentioned dry filters and particle filters are installed in each gas handling device.

The dry filter enables a safe absorption of gaseous decomposition products and moisture. The filter cartridge is filled with Al203 and a molecular sieve and can easily be exchanged. The existing tubing is not to be opened.

The particle filter serves for filtering solid particles and decomposition products out of the SF6-gas. The filter cartridge is folded to a cylinder with star-shaped section. A retention rate of 100% is obtained from a particle size of ≥ 1.0 µm.

Reuse of purified SF6-gas in switchgear: In 95 % of all cases it is possible to purify the SF6-gas on site. About 4 % are purified in central stations where the corresponding equipment is available. Only at about 1 % a purification is no longer possible. The manufacturer and the operator of electrical switchgear must agree which purified SF6-gas, with which qualities is allowed for refilling switchgear. The purified SF6-gas can be filled back in the gas compartment by using overpressure or the compressor. The required filling pressure can be set via the pressure reducer valve. Select the filling pressure according to the range of setting of the pressure reducer. Gas which has been stored in liquid form flows through an evaporator. The evaporator is equipped with a thermostat. 1.5 SF6/N2-separation Air mixtures in the SF6-gas may be caused by incorrect gas handling or if pressure and vacuum tight connecting couplings are not used. There are also components which are basically filled with gas mixtures. The separation of air and nitrogen from the SF6-gas cannot be realized by the standard DILO gas handling devices. But the DILO SF6/N2-separation plant allows to purify gas mixtures with an SF6-content of 40 - 98% of SF6 to SF6-gas with a purity of 99 %. For purifying these gas mixtures there are the following possibilities: Purchasing the DILO SF6/N2-separation plant Lending the separation plant together with DILO-personnel

or at corresponding gas quantities carrying out the separation by yourselves using the DILO plant.

Sending the gas mixture to DILO for purifying and separating to our premises 1.6 Gas connections in "The concept for the reuse of SF6" In order to realize the guaranteed leak rate of min. 1 % p.a., which is recently 0.5 % p.a, gas connections which fulfil these parameters are necessary. The DILO connections for SF6-gas are the most widely used. Unintended release of SF6-gas is impossible when using this coupling system. Thus the risk of unintended gas loss and mixing of air with gas is avoided. The advantages of this system are as follows:

- pressure and vacuum tight

- self-opening when connecting - self-closing when disconnecting

- metal to metal seal principle in form of tongue and groove; thus they can be loosened and reconnected as often as desired at same SF6-tightness

- high SF6-tightness - available in DN6/DN8/DN20 and DN40 1.7. Working protection kit - Room monitoring Working protection kit: For the handling of decomposed SF6-gas protective measures of the operating personnel are necessary. Persons who are working with SF6-gas must be informed on probable risks. Before opening a gas compartment the gas quality and the condition of the switchgear must be known. The corresponding protective measures can be taken according to the measuring results. For the optimum protection of personnel DILO offers the working protection kit 3-442-R001-R003. The items of the working protection kit correspond to the information leaflet for the accident prevention published by the employer's liability insurance association. All articles correspond to the required quality classification. Room monitoring: As SF6-gas is five times heavier than air lower lying rooms are to be controlled for a probable inadmissible SF6-concentration before they are entered. For a permanent control of such gas compartments DILO offers an SF6-warning device. 1.8 Storage and transport regulations for SF6-gas Regarding the regulations for the storage and transportation of new and used SF6-gas please observe the regulations valid in your country. 1.9 Oil contaminated SF6-gas If DILO devices are used oil contamination of SF6-gas is impossible. Once there is a contamination caused by oil-lubricated components it is absolutely necessary to recover the oil contaminated SF6-gas through special separating filters. If it is no longer possible to regenerate the gas it must be returned to the manufacturer or supplier for disposal. This gas is to be filled in specially marked containers.

1. Recovery of SF6-gas When SF6 is recovered from a gas compartment, the gas is automatically led through filters which dry and purify the gas. The gas recovered can be stored in an installed tank, in a separate tank or in SF6-gas bottles. The gas can be stored either in gaseous form or at high pressure in liquid form. This working process can be executed in the following three steps: a) By means of overpressure in the gas compartment until pressure compensation between gas compartment and storage tank has been achieved. b) With the installed DILO dry-running compressor up to a gas compartment pressure of pe = 0 bar (see picture 1).

c) By switching on the installed DILO vacuum compressor up to a gas compartment pressure of < 50 mbar (see picture 2).

2. Flooding The gas compartment which is under pressure can be flooded with ambient air by a rinsing valve installed in the DILO service cart. 3. Evacuation After the revision of the circuit breaker has been effected, the gas compartment should be evacuated with the installed DILO vacuum pump so that a) SF6-gas is not mixed with ambient air. b) humidity is removed from the gas compartment. With the vacuum pump a final vacuum of < 1 mbar can be reached. The vacuum pump delivers into the atmosphere (see picture 3).

4. Filling The purified and dried SF6 from the pressure tank is filled back into the evacuated gas compartment until the filling pressure set at the DILO service cart has been reached. This function can be executed in the following three steps: a) By means of overpressure in the storage tank

until pressure compensation between gas compartment and storage tank has been achieved.

b) With the installed DILO dry-running

compressor up to a storage tank pressure of pe = 0 bar (see picture 4).

c) By switching on the installed DILO vacuum

compressor up to a storage tank presssure of < 50 mbar (see picture 5).

Oilfree SF6-handling: All components (compressor and vacuum compressor) used in the SF6 circuit are dry-running and work entirely without oil. Economic efficiency: During each operation with the SF6 service carts, the gas is dried and purified by the installed filters. Exchange of filters: The filter cartridges can be exchanged easily. Control of the sense of rotation: DILO service carts are equipped with a control of the sense of rotation for aggregates in order to avoid any errors. Control system: The clearly arranged display-panel indicates the actual operation. Reliability: The use of DILO SF6 valves, couplings and fittings guarantees a high reliability of operation, tightness and functionality. Easy maintenance: By using the well-proved components, maintenance on the cart itself is not necessary for a long period of time. Compactness: Due to a wide range of different devices, the most suitable device can be chosen. The SF6-cylinder heater blanket is used to heat SF6-gas cylinders, to keep them from freezing when removing large amounts of SF6-gas quickly. The thermostatically controlled heater blanket heats the lower part of the gas bottle to prevent the SF6-gas from freezing in the gas cylinder. An integrated thermostat is used to prevent the cylinder from being overheated.

The heater blanket is wrapped around the SF6-cylinder and secured with a Velcro strap. For quicker gas removal we recommend the simultaneous use of two heater blankets on the same cylinder.

1. Description The DILO SF6-warning device is used for permanent control of ambient air for inadmissibly high SF6-concentration and for leak control for SF6-plants in closed rooms. The device gives an optical, acoustic and remote alarm if a SF6-concentration of more than 2.0 Vol. % is detected at the sampling point. The sampling point is the location where the air which is to be tested is taken from; this should be the lowest reachable point (gas trap) within the room to be monitored. The effect of SF6-gas being much heavier than air will lead eventually leaking SF6-gas flow to the lowest point and concentrate there. By this effect an alarm given at 2.0 Vol. % SF6 at the gas trap would mean that the actual contamination of SF6 compared to the total amount of air in the monitored room is still close to 0 Vol. %. In most cases this allows for sufficient headroom to detect and eliminate the source of contamination after an alarm had been given. A permanent operating warning device needs to be very reliable. To this end the device constantly monitors its various functions and does not require any periodic maintenance. 2. Function A small diaphragm pump feeds a measuring cell with ambient air passing through a dust filter. To detect the SF6-content, the device measures the speed of sound of the gas mixture delivered by the feeder pump. This value is compared by a microprocessor to a stored value, indicating the SF6-content in air. If a SF6-content of more than 2.0 Vol. % is detected, the processor triggers an alarm. A red LED will light up (optical), a small beeper will sound (acoustic) and the control signal of the remote control socket will be interrupted (remote). The microprocessor also controls the functional capabilities of the monitoring device like gas flow, pump running, voltage control, temperature and internal functions. If any fault occurs, the process will issue "interference". This means a red "interference" LED will light up, a small beeper will go off and a second permanent signal on the remote control socket will be interrupted. By using the remote control socket, the complete function of the device can be remote controlled.

The device is easy to operate independent of the atmospheric pressure and its position. The measuring principle is based on the evaluation of velocity of sound. Description: The SF6-moisture measuring device determines the dew point of SF6-gas allowing the determination of the water vapour content. The measurement is made under atmospheric pressure. Thus comparable measurements are obtained even if the gas to be measured shows different pressures. The value of the dew point indicated digitally in degrees Centigrade can be converted into ppm-values using a diagram or tables. The measuring chamber containing the tracer looks like a cylinder. In this measuring chamber another cylinder filled with desiccative can be found guaranteeing a dry storage of the tracer. Once the cylinder is pulled out of the device the tracer is exposed to the measuring gas flow. With the device a calibration is possible so that examinations can be made at any time or deviations of measuring values can be corrected. A test tube through which the gas to be tested can flow is used for each kind of detection. The gas outlet of the test tube is connected to a plastic bag into which the gas to be tested can flow off. The test tube is inserted into the mounting provided at the measuring device. The measuring device is connected to the gas compartment and the needle valve at the flowmeter is adjusted to a certain flow rate. Once the plastic bag is filled the needle valve of the flowmeter has to be closed. By changing of the colour at the tube scale the test tube shows the existence of the respective decomposition product in quantity by its ppm-concentration.

Description: 3-035-R001 dew point instrument - standard version This model is a robust, easy to carry dew point hygrometer, specially designed for field use. The dew point instrument determines the dew point of SF6-gas allowing the determination of the water vapour content. The measurement is made under atmospheric pressure or system pressure. The value of the dew point indicated digitally in degrees Centigrade can be converted into ppm-values using a diagram or tables. The measurement is based on the chilled mirror principle which guarantees direct and precise measurement of the humidity without possible errors due to inertia and hysteresis. The system is stable and does not require recalibration. A built-in test device with simple push button allows the instrument to be checked for accuracy at 0°C. The standard version of the dew point instrument includes a front-mounted measuring head with triple stage Peltier cooling. For the measurement of aggressive gases, the whole gas circuit is made of PTFE and stainless steel. A built-in electronic flowmeter, which works independent of position, monitors the correct gas flow. An analog output of ± 10 mV / °C is provided for recording or remote indication of the measured values. The dew point instrument is delivered in a robust transport case. Analyzer discharge recovery system B151R01 Functional description: The SF6-analyser has been designed for maintenance works and controlling the SF6-gas in all gas filled components of switchgear. This device allows the measurements of the contamination (sum of decomposition products), the SF6-percentage based on SF6-air (or nitrogen) mixtures and the gas moisture with only one gas connection at the same time. With the IMS-module very small traces of impurities in the gas can be detected by measuring ion drift times within an electric field. Dependant on the mobility of the generated ionized gas molecules the sum of contamination in the SF6 can be indicated. The device compares the curve of pure SF6 with the curve of the contaminated SF6. The SF6-percentage measurement is based on the evaluation of the velocity of sound in the measuring gas. The moisture measuring device determines the water vapour content in degrees Celsius (dew point temperature). The values can also be indicated in ppm. All measurements are carried out under atmospheric pressure. The measurement can be carried out quickly and simply by using the display. The device is only operated by a turning knob and two keys. In case of contamination there is an immediate optical and acoustic warning signal. The release of alarm is pre-configurated to the international CIGRE standard and can be adjusted by the operator. The measured values can be designated and saved. The supplied software allows a simple data output and evaluation on PC. With each measurement the previous reference measurement with pure SF6 is saved, which is carried out once a day to guarantee a direct comparison of the measured values with pure SF6. DILO-Funktionsbeschreibung DILO ist ein zwischendichtungsloses Abdichtungsprinzip in Form von Nut und Feder besonderer Formgebung mit geringer Eintauchtiefe. Es gewährleistet unveränderliche Dichtheit bei allen Drücken, schwellenden Belastungen, hohen Temperaturen, starken Wechselbeanspruchungen und bei Vakuum. DILO-Verbindungen sind einfach zu montieren und erfordern keine Wartung. Sie können beliebig oft gelöst und wiederverbunden werden. Die Abdichtung nach dem DILO-Prinzip erfolgt ohne jede Zwischendichtung durch direkte Berührung der Dichtleisten. Dadurch entstehen zwei ringförmige Dichtlinien. Die unterschiedlichen Krümmungsradien von Nut und Feder stehen in einem Verhältnis zueinander. Dies bewirkt eine so große Formfestigkeit, daß sehr hohe Pressungen möglich sind. Die Bremsfläche an der DILO-Feder verhindert bleibende Verformungen an den Dichtlinien. Damit ist die Wiederverwendbarkeit der DILO-Dichtung gewährleistet. Durch die geringe Eintauchtiefe von DILO-Nut und -Feder können die Rohre nach Lösen der Überwurfmutter sofort seitlich ausgefahren werden. DILO Rohrverbindungen werden in fast allen Industriezweigen verwendet zur Abdichtung von allen herkömmlichen Medien, insbesondere in hohen Druck- und Temperaturbereichen und bei Vakuum. DILO-functional description DILO is a tightening principle without intermediate tightening compound in the form of tongue and groove of special shaping with little depth of immersion. It guarantees invariable tightness with all pressures, pulsating loads, high temperatures, high alternating stresses and with vacuum. DILO-connections are easy to mount and require no maintenance. They can be loosened and reconnected as often as desired. Tightening according to the DILO-principle is effected without intermediate tightening compound by direct contact with the seals. Thus, two ring-shaped seals are produced. The different radii of curvature of tongue and groove are in a definite relation to each other. This ensures such a high stability of shape that very high pressures are possible. The braking surface at the DILO-tongue prevents permanent deformations at the seals. Thus, the reuse of the DILO-sealing is ensured. Due to the small depth of immersion of DILO-tongue and groove the pipes can be moved out laterally after loosening immediately the clamping nut. DILO-tube connections are used by nearly all branches of industry for tightening all conventional media, particularly for high pressure and temperature ranges and for vacuum. Les raccords DILO sont simples à monter et ne nécessitent aucun entretien. Ils peuvent être démontés et réassemblés aussi souvent que souhaité. Selon le principe DILO, l'étanchéité est obtenue sans interposition de joint intermédiaire par contact direct des portées de joint. Deux lignes circulaires d'étanchéité sont engendrées. Les différents rayons de courbure de la languette et de la rainure sont placés dans un rapport déterminé l'un par rapport à l'autre ce qui confère une telle résistance à la déformation que l'emploi à des très hautes pressions est possible. La surface de freinage sur la languette DILO évite des déformations permanentes sur les lignes d'étanchéité, ce qui permet la réutilisation du joint DILO. La faible profondeur d'immersion permet après desserrage de l'écrou chapeau de séparer les tubulures. Les raccords à tubes DILO sont utilisés dans presque toutes les industries pour réaliser l'étanchéité particulièrement dans le domaine des hautes pressions et températures élevées pour toutes sortes de fluides ainsi que dans le domaine du vide.

Lötverfahren: DILO-Lötverschraubungen können mit dem bekannten "Autogen"-Verfahren verlötet werden. Verpackung: Die Teile sind allseitig frei von Staub und Fremdkörpern in PVC-Folie verschweißt. Die Anschlüsse sind zum Schutz vor Schäden mit Kunststoffkappen versehen.

Rohrlängen genau bestimmen und rechtwinklig abschneiden Rohrende entgraten und metallisch blank reinigen. Flußmittelauftrag nur dort vornehmen, wo später Lötgut sein soll. Beim Löten die von DILO empfohlenen Hilfsmittel verwenden und die Lötvorschriften des Lötgutlieferanten beachten. Gelötete Teile ruhig halten, bis Lötgut erstarrt ist und auskühlen lassen (nicht abschrecken) Lötzunder durch Spülen im Wasser und anschließenden Beizen entfernen. Verschraubung vor der Montage trocknen. Bei der Montage dürfen nur Anschlußteile verwendet werden, die keine Beschädigungen durch Schläge, Stöße oder übergelaufenes

Lötgut aufweisen. Es ist darauf zu achten, daß das Rohrnetz spannungsfrei gehaltert ist und daß die Rohrteile zueinander fluchten. Etwaige Abweichungen lassen sich leicht mit dem DILO-Richtwerkzeug (Best.-Nr. 3-201 und 3-202) ausrichten.

Vor endgültigem Zusammenbau prüfen, ob DILO-Nut und -Feder frei von Verunreinigungen sind. Die Verschraubungen sollten, um die Reibung zu vermindern, an den Gewinden und an den Anlageflächen der Überwurfmutter -

insbesondere bei austenitischen Werkstoffen -mit einem geeigneten Schmiermittel geschmiert werden. Dadurch wird bei der Montage das aufgewandte Drehmoment besser in Axialkraft umgesetzt und ein Festsetzen bzw. Fressen der Gewinde vermieden. Bei der Wahl der Schmiermittel sind Einsatztemperaturen, Medium, Korrosion und Werkstoff zu beachten.

Kurzes kräftiges Anziehen der Überwurfmutter bewirkt einwandfreie Dichtheit. Der Einschraubzapfen der DILO-Einschraub-Verschraubungen ist in Standard-Ausführung mit O-Ring-Abdichtung ausgestattet. Bei der Montage von DILO-Einschraub-Verschraubungen empfehlen wir zur Abdichtung des Einschraubzapfens nach DIN 3852 Form B

Nacharbeit. Specify the pipe lengths exactly and cut off rectangularly. Burr the pipe extremity and clean it metallically bright. Apply the soldering flux where soldering is to be carried out. When soldering, use the auxiliary means recommended by DILO and observe the instructions of the soldering materials supplier. Do not touch the soldered parts until the solder has solidified and cooled down. (Do not quench the soldering area with water) Remove the soldering material by rinsing with water and by pickling it. Dry union before mounting. When mounting use only the connecting components not being damaged by impacts or by overflowed soldering material. It must be strictly

observed that the tubing system is tension-free supported and that the tubing sections align to each other. Possible divergences can be straightened with the DILO straightening tool (order-no.: 3-201 and 3-202).

Before final mounting, check that all DILO-groove and tongue parts are clear of impurities. In order to reduce the friction, the tube unions should be greased with a suitable grease at the threads and contact surfaces of the

clamping nut, especially when made of austenitic materials. Thus the torque is better converted into axial force and galling of the threads is avoided. When selecting the grease, observe the operating temperatures, the media, the corrosive degree and the materials.

A fast and strong tightening of the clamping nut guarantees a perfect tightness. The standard version of the screw -in stub of the DILO screw -in unions is equipped with o-ring sealing. For mounting of the DILO screw -in unions we recommend the use of soft metal sealings for sealing of the screw -in stub according to DIN

3852 form B, e.g. copper plates opposite the housing or the block. When all these instructions are observed the mounting will be simple and time-saving. Pipes which are too short or not precisely aligned

will require extra work. Mesurer précisément les longueurs des tubes et scier à angles droits. Ebarber l'extrémité du tube et nettoyer jusqu'au métalliquement brillant. Appliquer le fondant seulement à ce point où l'on veut braser. Lors du brasage, utiliser les auxiliaires recommandés par DILO et observer les instructions du fournisseur du fondant. Ne toucher pas les pièces brasées jusqu'à ce que la brasure soit solidifiée et refroidie. (Jamais refroidir le point de brasage dans l'eau) Nettoyer les points de brasage par lavage à l'eau et par décapage. Sécher les unions avant leur montage! Lors de l'assemblage on ne doit qu'appliquer de tels raccords qui ne sont pas endommagés par des impacts ou du fondant débordé. Il faut

veiller à ce que le système de tuyauteries ne soit pas soumis à des contraintes et que les différents éléments de tuyauteries soient alignés. Des écarts possibles peuvent être aisément compensés avec l'outil de dressage DILO (no. de commande 3-201 et 3-202).

Avant le montage final, vérifier que les éléments à rainure sont exempts de salissures. Pour éviter les frictions, les filetages et les appuis de l'écrou à raccord, surtout pour les matières austénitiques, doivent énitiques, doivent

être légèrement graissés. Ceci permet que le couple de serrage appliqué soit converti par le pas de vis en une force axiale plus élevée et évite un grippage ou un blocage de raccord. Pour le choix du lubrifiant, il faut tenir compte de la température de service, du fluide, du degré de la corrosion et finalement du matériel.

Un serrage bref mais puissant de l'écrou à raccord, qui doit être placé uniformément, assure une étanchéité parfaite. La version standard de l'embout à visser des unions à visser DILO est équipée d'une étanchéité par joint torique. Pour le montage des unions à visser DILO nous recommandons pour réaliser l'étanchéité de l'embout à visser, selon DIN 3852, forme B,

d'utiliser des joints en métal doux, des joints cuivre, à placer contre le boîtier ou le bloc. L'observation de ces prescriptions facilite le montage et évite des pertes-temps. Des tubes trop courts ou mal alignés entraînent du travail

supplémentaire.

DILO-Kupplungen werden in den Nennweiten DN 6, 7, 8, und 20 hergestellt. DILO-couplings are manufactured with nominal diameters DN 6, 7, 8, and 20. Les coupleurs DILO sont fabriqués en diamètre nominal DN 6, 7, 8, et 20. Beschreibung Die DILO-Kupplung ist auf dem Prinzip von Nut- und Federteil aufgebaut. Vor Entlastung der Dichtkegel wird die druck- und vakuumdichte Kupplung während des Kupplungsvorganges innen mit einem O-Ring abgedichtet. Bevor sich die beiden Dichtkegel berühren, stehen während des Kuppelns die ersten beiden Gewindegänge der Überwurfmutter mit dem Gewinde des Nutteils im Eingriff. Dies reduziert den Kraftaufwand beim Kuppeln wesentlich, auch bei Hochdruckbelastung. Im gekuppelten Zustand ist die Kupplung zwangsgeöffnet. Werden die beiden Kupplungshälften wieder getrennt, sperren die Dichtkegel selbsttätig ab.

Description The construction of the DILO-coupling is based on the principle of tongue and groove part. Before discharging the conical nipples the pressure and vacuumtight coupling is sealed inside with an O-ring during the coupling process. Before the two conical nipples get in contact with each other the first two turns of the clamping nut are in contact with the thread of the groove part during coupling-process. Therefore the expenditure of force is reduced essentially when coupling also at high pressure load. The coupling is forced to be open in coupled position. If the two coupling parts are separated again, the conical nipples shut off automatically.

Avant la décharge des bagues bicônes ce coupleur étanche à la pression et au vide, est, pendant le manoeuvre d'accouplement, fermé hermétiquement à l'intérieur par un joint torique. Pendant le manoeuvre d'accouplement les premières spires du filetage de l'écrou à raccord sont en prise avec le filetage de l'élément à rainure, avant que les deux bagues bicônes se touchent. Ceci réduit considérablement l'effort pour le manoeuvre d'accouplement, même sous haute pression. En position accouplée le coupleur est forcément ouvert. Si les deux éléments du coupleur sont séparés les bagues bicônes arrêtent automatiquement.

Beschreibung: Die Manometer-Anschlußkupplung dient als Anschlußstück an ein Kupplungs-Nutteil DN8. Beim Kuppeln öffnet ein Stift in der Manometer-Anschlußkupplung den Durchfluß des gegenüberliegenden Kupplungs-Nutteils (zwangsgeöffnet). Somit kann am eingeschraubten Manometer der jeweilige Betriebsdruck abgelesen werden. Beim Abkuppeln schließt durch Federbelastung der Dichtkegel des Nutteiles (druck - und vakuum-dicht). Die Druckanzeige ist bei der entlasteten Manometer-Anschluß-kupplung "drucklos". Das Manometer ist über die Anschlußkupplung in jede gewünschte Einbaustellung (drehbar 360°) zu montieren. O-Ring - 83 EPDM 263. temperaturbeständig von -40° bis +80°C. Die passenden Anschlußteile müssen separat bestellt werden.

When coupling a pin in the gauge connecting coupling opens the flow of the opposite coupling groove part (forced opening). This allows to read the present operating pressure on the screwed in gauge. When disconnecting the conical nipple of the groove part is closed by springload (pressure and vacuum-tight). If the gauge connecting coupling is not connected the gauge shows "zero pressure". Lors du couplage une goupille dans le raccord-coupleur pour manomètre ouvre le passage de l'élément à rainure du raccord-coupleur opposé (ouverture forcée). Ceci permet de lire la pression de service au manomètre vissé. Lors du découplage, la bague bicône de l'élément à rainure ferme sous l'effet d'un ressort (étanche à la pression et au vide). Die Steckkupplung erlaubt die Herstellung einer Verbindung durch einfaches Ineinanderstecken der beiden Kupplungsteile. Vor Entlastung der Kupplungssitze wird die druck- und vacuumdichte Kupplung während des Kupplungsvorganges innen mit einem O-Ring abgedichtet. Im gekuppelten Zustand ist die Kupplung zwangsgeöffnet. Werden die beiden Kupplungshälften wieder getrennt, sperren die Dichtsitze selbsttätig ab.

Before relieving of the coupling seats the pressure- and vacuumtight coupling is sealed inside with an O-ring during coupling process. The coupling is forced to be open in coupled position. If the two coupling sides are separated again the sealing seats shut off automatically.

Le raccord-coupleur permit l'établissement d'une connexion par mettre simplement les deux parties du raccord-coupleur I'un dans l'autre. Avant le dégagement des siéges du raccord-coupleur, ce coupleur étanche à la pression et au vide, est, pendant le manoeuvre d'accouplement, fermé hermétiquement à l'intérieur par un joint torique.
