Variety Night 2017
Variety Night 2017 was held on Wednesday 20 September 2017.
The “Sharni Williams (OAM) Hall” was packed with students, staff, parents and family
members who were all delighted with the array of performances from students in all
grades from Kindergarten to Year 12.
Congratulations to everyone involved. It was a great night!
PRIMARY FOOTBALL (SOCCER) DAY
At the end of last term, students in Stage 2 and Stage 3 travelled to Tumut to compete in a
Football Gala Day organised by the Tumut Eagles Football Club. Batlow Technology
School took two teams who both performed extremely well on the day.
The 5/6 class went into the finals undefeated with three wins and a draw, making the play-
off for first and second place. Unfortunately, with injuries, tiredness and depleted numbers,
we were defeated 3-0. This was a fantastic effort for our students with only a few playing
club soccer regularly.
The 3/4 team was led to a great result by Mrs Sandra Howell, as she took the time to
come and coach this team for us both, in the lead up to, and on the day. These kids
played extremely well, placing 4th after making the play-offs.
Congratulations to both teams, and a huge thank you to Mrs Howell for all her efforts in
supporting this great day.
