The sinful nature wants to do evil,

which is just the opposite of what the

Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives usdesires that are the opposite of whatthe sinful nature desires. These two

forces are constantly fighting eachother, so you are not free to carry outyour good intentions. (Galatians 5:17)

A fallen spiritual being thatcommands a host of fallenangels (demonic spirits) inopposing God.
