Lost Coat A women’s black wool coat disappeared from the coat rack behind the sanctuary on January 31. Did you accidentally take home the wrong coat? The coat is a hooded duffle style coat with a zipper and toggle buttons, size medium. If you find it, please return it to the coat rack or to Jana Boersema.

Cadet Pancake BreakfastThe Cadet Pancake Breakfast is scheduled on Saturday, February 20 from 7:30–10:30 a.m. Donations are welcome!

Lenten DevotionsWith the start of Lent this past Wednesday, we hope you have begun your journey through 40 days of prayer, fasting, and giving when it comes to care of creation. Every day, read one of the reflections provided online with CRC North America. It may be a call to prayer—for our field staff and partners around the world who are seeing the impact of environmental destruction on the poor. It might be an invitation to give something up—like electricity for an evening. Or it maybe a call to give—perhaps donating time to pick up trash in your neighborhood or lend your voice to advocate for legislative change in your country. We hope you’ll join us on this lenten journey by going to the website: http://www2.crcna.org/pages/osj_lent.cfm.

CRC Table Talks

The 2016 Council is offering members of our congregation a safe place to discuss important and difficult topics. The goal is to allow every

voice possible to be heard as we discern the future of First CRC with regard to 1) External Vision, 2) Gender in Ministry Leadership, 3) Worship, and 4) Sexuality.

The February Table Talks will focus on “Gender in Ministry Leadership.” We will discuss the pros and cons of inclusive leadership. Traditional and progressive views are all welcome and we will begin a process of discerning direction on this topic through discussion, prayer and listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Key verses of scripture will be part of the discussion.

Please select one(1) session to attend. You need not attend both.Thursday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. or

Sunday, Feb. 28 at 11:00 a.m. (after service)

If you would like more information on this dynamic series, feel free to pick up a flyer in the Foyer!

First Christian Reformed Church of Seattle is a gospel and grace-centered community learning how to follow Jesus. We belong to a broader community called The Christian Reformed Church. What does this mean?

We call ourselves… Christian… Because we belong to Jesus Christ and want to be his followers. Reformed… Because we’re part of the historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of the leaders of the Protestant Reformation, who struggled to return Christianity to its biblical roots. Church… Because God has called us to be a fellowship of his people in the world.
