McCarthy moved, seconded by Potts to approve the agenda. ROLL CALL: Ayes 5. Motion carried. Clint Fichter, independent contractor for Small City Resource Institute opened the floor with a discussion regarding TIF and the upcoming budget, street projects, and finances. Council looked over some street projects from Snyder and Associates for future consideration. Petersen moved, seconded by McCarthy to approve the new business located at the old Flour Mill. NA Feb. 7, 2020) Shelby County Board of Supervisors Special Board Meeting January 31, 2020 The Board of Supervisors of Shelby County, Iowa, met pursuant to law and rules of said board in special session at 9:00 a.m. in the Auditors Office at the Shelby County Courthouse with the following members present: Charles Parkhurst, Chairman,; Darin Haake Vice- Chairperson, and Mark Maxwell, Clerk. Steve Kenkel-Absent The Chair asked that any Conflict of Interest be stated concerning any item on the agenda. No conflicts were stated. A motion was made by Haake with a second by Parkhurst, to approve the setting of February 18th as the date to have the first hearing by the following resolution. RESOLUTION NO. 2020-10 ENTRY RECORD OF THE PUBLISHING AND SETTING A HEARING DATE FOR CONSIDERATION OF THE COUNTY MAXIMUM TAX DOLLARS ASKING FOR FISCAL YEAR 2021 BE IT RESOLVED on this 31st day of January 2020, the Board of Supervisors of Shelby County, Iowa, met in scheduled session for filing and considering the resolution to adopt and accept the published maximum tax dollars for the County Budget for FY2021. There was present a quorum as required by law. Entry record for filing of said maximum dollars was established and approved for publication. The Board, being fully advised, find that the date of the hearing on said maximum tax dollars should be fixed, and it does fix, the 18th day of February, 2020, at the hour of 9:00 A.M. as the date and time of hearing to be held at the Supervisor’s Chambers in the Courthouse in Shelby County, Iowa. Chairman Parkhurst called for a vote and the votes were counted with Darin Haake voting in favor of the resolution 2020-10 and Charles Parkhurst voting in favor of the resolution. No Nays were cast against the resolution The resolution consideration being the only item on the agenda, and now being duly considered and approved, the meeting was adjourned. City of Elk HornBoard Meeting January 29, 2020

The City Council of Elk Horn, Iowa met in special session on Wednesday, January 29th, 2020 at 5:30 P.M. with the following members present: Mayor, Stan Jens; Fredericksen, McCarthy, Potts, Petersen, and Teegerstrom.

McCarthy moved, seconded by Potts to approve the agenda. ROLL CALL: Ayes 5. Motion carried.

Clint Fichter, independent contractor for Small City Resource Institute opened the fl oor with a discussion regarding TIF and the upcoming budget, street projects, and fi nances. Council looked over some street projects from Snyder and Associates for future consideration.

Petersen moved, seconded by McCarthy to approve the new business located at the old Flour Mill.

The Board of Supervisors of Shelby County, Iowa, met pursuant to law and rules of said board in special session at 9:00 a.m. in the Auditors Offi ce at the Shelby County Courthouse with the following members present: Charles Parkhurst, Chairman,; Darin Haake Vice-Chairperson, and Mark Maxwell, Clerk. Steve Kenkel-Absent

The Chair asked that any Confl ict of Interest be stated concerning any item on the agenda. No confl icts were stated.

A motion was made by Haake with a second by Parkhurst, to approve the setting of February 18th as the date to have the fi rst hearing by the following resolution.

RESOLUTION NO. 2020-10ENTRY RECORD OF THE PUBLISHING AND SETTING A HEARING DATE FOR

CONSIDERATION OF THE COUNTY MAXIMUM TAX DOLLARS ASKINGFOR FISCAL YEAR 2021

BE IT RESOLVED on this 31st day of January 2020, the Board of Supervisors of Shelby County, Iowa, met in scheduled session for fi ling and considering the resolution to adopt and accept the published maximum tax dollars for the County Budget for FY2021. There was present a quorum as required by law. Entry record for fi ling of said maximum dollars was established and approved for publication.
