Steps 1 & 2

1 Defective parts on stock

Defective parts are kept in special stock in a separatestorage location.

Defective parts are serialized and have split valuation.

2 Purchase Requisition (triggered by Maintenance order)

Maintenance order genereates requirement for spare part.

In MRP this requirement results in a Planned Order.

Planned Order is converted into Purchase Requisition.

Purchase Requisition contains BOM with defectivepart to be refurbished and spare parts needed.Purchase Requisition contains tab strip„Subcontracting“

Only standardmaintenance orders –

Refurbishment order under ECC6.0 Enhancement Pack 4 does not support thisprocess !

3 Purchase Order (with defective part & spare parts)

Purchase Order contains BOM with defectivepart to be refurbished and spare parts needed.

Target valuation type for part to be refurbished mustbe set in delivery subscreen of Purchase Order.

4 Delivery for Purchase Order

Delivery for Purchase Order is created fromwithin subcontracting monitor(transaction ADSUBCON).

3 types of subcontracting:-same material/serial no.-same material/new serial no.-replacement part(with new material/serial no.)

5 Goods Issue for Delivery

Defective Part is delivered to subcontractor.

It appears now in a special stock (stock provided to vendor).

6 Repair by Subcontractor

Part is repaired/refurbished by subcontractor.

7 Goods Receipt for Purchase Order

8 Refurbished part available in servicable stock

Repaired Part is delivered back .

A goods receipt is posted with reference to purchaseorder.

It now appears in the servicable stock as refurbishedpart – with new valuation type as specified in purchase order.
