Chris gaede was a member of German Airforce, German Army and U.S. Airforce. He also holds a Class VII FFL/SOT. As a team member in UTG product development, Chris contributes his law enforcement and military police training experiences to our R&D of products for special weapons and tactical applications. He routinely subjects our products to rigorous torture testing for continuous quality assurance and performance enhancement.

gary Zemeski was a loyal UTG customer already prior to joining Leapers. He has been an avid target shooter and hunter for almost 4 decades. Every year Gary fills his Michigan deer tags during the archery and firearm seasons. Gary hunts state land where the deer population is in higher state of alert due to hunting pressure. He uses exclusively UTG products to put our hunting scopes through real world experience. It gives him the advantage to make every shot count.

John Kapusta brings with him over 3 decades of firearm industry experience. He has worked with major law enforcement agencies around the country, and trained with elite operators such as FBI, SEALs, and Springfield SWAT team. As Leapers/UTGs in-house firearm expert, he personally puts our products through stringent testing on some of the most punishing rifles and shotguns to constantly raise our products quality and durability levels.

nick Till is a well accomplished competitive highpower match shooter. His victories include the 2012 John C. Garand Rifle Match at Camp Perry, the coveted DuPont Trophy and the National Service Rifle Championship in addition to the 2007 Army Cup Trophy. Nicks accumulated experience with precision shooting is invaluable and his input is very instrumental to our optic innovations.

Tom gaylord has been evaluating and writing about airguns for over 20 years. His articles appear regularly in all major magazines. Tom has been a mentor providing our PD Team with very insightful lessons and development suggestions since 1999. He is shown here testing a Leapers 3-9x40 Full Size TS Scope on a Webley Patriot that generates as much as 30 ft-lbf when shooting the heaviest pellets. 750 shots were fired with 100 shots per session. This demonstrated the unrivaled strength of our scopes that endured the two-way recoil which easily bruises the shoulder of careless shooters.

Mil-dot reticle is the most widely used reticle on Leapers rifle scopes which provides range estimating capability. The crosshair reticle has multiple dots spread equally apart on the lines in the central area. The distance between two adjacent dots is designed to be 1 milli-radian or 3.44MOA at 10X and 100 Yds.

Etched glass reticle offers our discerning users the crisp definition of hash marks for precise range estimating along with the durability and robustness found on expensive upper-scale brand at affordable prices.

Target Dot reticle consists of a single floating dot in the center as the aiming point with the least visual distraction. It is commonly used for quick aiming applications with lower demand for pin-point accuracy. The shooter aims by pointing the dot at the target. For a reflex dot sight, the dot is a reflected image of the light source with common characteristics from any light reflection. The typical dot size can be controlled to as small as about 4MOA.

Mil-dot reticle is the most widely used reticle on Leapers rifle scopes which provides range estimating capability. The crosshair reticle has multiple dots spread equally apart on the lines in the central area. The distance between two adjacent dots is designed to be 1 milli-radian or 3.44MOA at 10X and 100 Yds.

Traditional wire reticle is robust and holds strong recoil. Connected lines and dots in all directions offers a clear aiming reference without compromise. Perfect for target shooting and all other applications.

Pro 5-step reticle is designed for crossbows, but can also be used in other applications such as rifles, airguns, etc. The reticle consists of five horizontal lines and a vertical line. And there is a thin crosshair in the center. If used on crossbows, the horizontal lines are for aiming at 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50-yard distances. The lines are calibrated for 300fps crossbows. The user needs to find out the exact yardage of each line during zeroing process.

The Projectile Drop Compensation (PDC) reticle uses different bars and/or circles arranged at designated spacing to aid in range estimation and serve as aiming points set at predetermined distances. This enables easy and rapid target engagement at multiple ranges.

Bubble level reticle includes a precision built-in bubble leveling system. The internal bubble leveler is located at the bottom of crosshair with the least Field of View impediment. It is a great tool for precision scope installation/crosshair alignment to deliver the most prominent shooting accuracy.

CIRCLE DOT

Circle Dot reticle includes a floating circle and a dot in the center, which is ideal for shotgun shooting, fly hunting as well as tactical applications requiring quick target acquisition. It may be permanently etched on glass or formed by light reflection. For an etched Circle Dot, the typical size is about 1.8MOA for the dot and about 36MOA for the circle. The reflex Circle Dot is a reflected image of the light source and the typical size can be controlled to about 4MOA for the dot and about 62MOA for the circle.

ETCHED PRO 4-STEP

The new etched glass Pro 4-step reticle comes with 3 horizontal lines and 4 floating points. Only the middle floating portion is illuminated where reticle is lighted. The 3 horizontal lines with floating points in the middle are for shooting at 20, 30 and 40 yards. The Free Floating (4th) point is for shooting at 50 yards.

Shock Proof

We build our own big hammer striking machine and vibration table to test scopes. Scopes are put on the striking machine and take the shock of 500g for hundreds of times, not only surviving physically but also holding the zero within 1MOA.

Rain Proof

All our scopes are made with 1-piece main tube and all the moving parts are sealed with high quality rubber o-rings. Moisture wont be able to enter the inside of the scope. All the exposed parts bear wear-resisting and anti-rust finish. The scopes can be used for all weather hunting.

Fog Proof

Our scope is filled with dry nitrogen and completely sealed by high quality rubber o-rings. All the moving parts including the eyepiece, objective, power selector ring and knobs have dual o-rings for smooth adjustment and long-term sealing. Fog will never build inside the scope. If moisture or dirt exists on the outside of the lens, wiping with the included cleaning cloth will restore the clear view.

Customer Testimonial on the 36 IEWhen I first saw that Leaper was coming out with a 36 color scope, I was real excited, but not for the reason that you are probably thinking of. Our son, Ben, is partially color blind and has problem seeing certain colors, such as red and green. But now he could choose his own personal color out of 36 that he could see the best. So it was time to test the new Leapers scope and find out what other features are available on it. The complete name of the new scope is the UTG 30mm SWAT 3-12X44 F.S. IE Scope with AO Mil-dot, 36 Colors EZ-TAP, part number SCP3-U312AOIEW.

In this picture the color of the illumination is a medium blue. The scope has a memory built in. So when the scope is powered off and back on, it retains the color and brightness settings last used. The color and intensity is controlled by a combination of red and green. You can choose from colors such as turquoise, magenta, maroon, azure, orange, and 30 other color names. As for Ben using the scope, he chose the color purple as being the one he could see the best. We found that strange being that it is one of the colors he has trouble with having the partial color blindness. After doing some research, we found when he looks at purple, he sees a bright blue instead. In fact, bright blue was also my choice of the 36 colors too. If you happen to be one of the 7% of males or .5 % of females that have a color blindness, this Leapers 36 color scope is one you should take at look. There are many reasons why the other 92.5% of us should take a look at it too. (by Tim Smith)
