Here is a very quick and rough look at the Overall Foundation plans

===============================================================

The main dream is to present a glorious space for our faith, good enough for people to come from around the world and stay, at the same time to re-build all our temples and schools to train our peopleand to give Hindu Dharma the glory It deserves.

The way to make this dream come true is first to wake up from our sleep and make it our goal.

The way to achieve this goal is by a forming a structured organization with a three-tier set-up with needed checks and balances for strength.

===============================================================

Let us make it a “Task Force for the Renaissance of Hindu Dharma”

and establish it in all four Southern states,and later all over, though we may need to start in one or two districts in each state now.

The idea is to build Centers for Hindu Dharma, on a grand scale to teach and train all Hindus on all aspects & forms of the faith and practice.

Alaya Dharisanam: --There are thousands of Temples all over Tamil Nadu and other South Indian States; each is famous in history, rituals, which many of our devotees are eager to visit. It is not possible for every one to visit 1000s of temples at any time. LDSFT will organize group travel programmes to visit several of these temples, to have dharshan, arrange special pooja services started and also organize Temple cleaning and rejuvenation projects in each of the Temples. Many of these Temples had no regular pooja services for years, so will start the pooja serviceswith educational programmes for the children living around the temples.

Spiritual Educational Programmes: – In Hindu Dharma, we have several well educated, spiritually evolved leaders and teachers and many are knowledgeable in the teachings of our Vedas and several of our holy texts. At the same time, large sections of our community are totally ignorant of our Dharma, our holy texts and the teachings in them except some fractions of the traditions and customs that they follow. Several groups of our members even question such teachings due to ignorance and are in need of the true aspects of the Dharma. We need encourage establishing schools to teach our faith from Basic to Vedic Hindu Dharma, including Sanskrit language and Tamil teachings of Hindu Classics, Temple worship, Puranas, Bhajans, Mantras and slokas for all Hindus, both men and women of all jaathis, combined under one roof.

While Temple tours and visits for Darisanam may be the most soul-satisfying for our members, and it encourages more members get involved in LDSFT activities, we need to see beyond visiting Temples and Temple cleaning - which by themselves is a great service - no doubt.

It is very important that we get the local community of elders involved, as also participation of women and children and also the School Students in the area.

We must encourage education program of Basic Hindu Dharma, recitation of Tamil and Sanskrit Slokas, Spiritual training and training in religious practices of Sanskara rituals.

We must concentrate on involving the priests in our projects, who may look for immediate profits, but they must be reassured of the increasing support as the Temple activities improve and for this we need their involvement in their engaging the visiting general public in the prayer services and recitation of Prayer Slokas.

We must also act as a social welfare organization for the community, especially for those below poverty line by implementing the 10 point programmes including “Integrated community development projects”. Health care related projects need to be developed. -- Health camps and clean water supply projects. We will get public support and government support in these projects only and all other projects will be going along with that. We will get public support and government support and all other projects will be going along with that.

As Part of the Integrated Community Development and Social Welfare Projects we will be planning educational activities for young children, school and college students as well as adults in the community as a whole to learn our ancient traditions and culture.

For this I am outlining some ideas below in brief [some of which we have already started and can be introduced at our other chapters]:

1. Tamil Amudhan classes in several Temples to teach and practice Religious works, poems and stories of Ithihasas and Puranas in Tamil.

2. Deva Amrutham Classes (similarly) for teaching Sanskrit lessons and Sanskrit prayers with meaning, incl. Sahasranama, Ashtithra and Bhajans.

3. Hindu Dharma Pãtasãlas to teach Basic Theories of Hindu Dharma lessons for the children as well as parents, to learn about History, philosophy and practice of Hindu Dharma and the various texts available for them.

4. General Veda Pãtasãla – These will be standard schools to teach Hindu Vedas and Shastras for those who

have been initiated with the above three levels of studies, we can organize Veda Patasala for recitation of Veda Manthras, Poojas, Agamas and Temple rituals with meanings and explanation of the Sanskrit texts and advanced Sanskrit language courses. They will be trained as Religious Practitioners.

In addition, where LDSFT is involved, we need to teach them to be trained in public relations, and to train them as teachers and preachers, knowing the meaning of Manthras and philosophy to explain to the general public. In addition, there will be training in leadership, speech techniques and Journalism to work on News and TV media. They will be both full-time and part-time preachers & teachers.

The problem may be to find teachers and proper funding as well as interested students who would rather spend their time for professional education and making money. So, now, how do we encourage students to come to class? Once we start with 2 to 5 students in one place and find one teacher who can teach all these [ any one of us can do this at the basic level ] then we also offer other incentives for students [adults also] to come.

The problem may be to find teachers and proper funding as well as interested students who would rather spend their time for professional education and making money. So, now, how do we encourage students to come to class?

Once we start with 2 to 5 students in one place and find one teacher among us who can teach all these then we also offer other incentives for students [adults also] to come. For this the following two projects will be important.

5. Vocational Studies Counseling - for students at High School level - in 9th, 10th and Plus 1 level students - can be asked to come attend lectures of various professional courses and job opportunities and how to get prepared for the same and what they need to know for this. We can get company executives come and talk as guest lectures to explain what the students need to do.

These students also will be studying Hindu Dharma as in the previous 4.

We need to publicise our plan and intent. We need resources persons, and many among us may be eligible to teach basic level of Hindu Dharma. There are several others who may volunteer their time to teach advanced levels of Veda Manthras, explanation of Hindu Texts and Philosophy. We need to enlist them.

6. "Youth Leadership Development Project"

For those in college level studies, they may benefit by a Spiritually trained "Youth Leadership Development Project" - to develop them as future leaders of our industries and government, including training in leadership, independent thinking, speech training, voice training and people management training - as introduction courses to prepare them for competitive examinations, IIT, IAS and for company management positions through guest volunteer lecturers.

- The Leadership training is for i. Government and politics; ii. Social/Arts /Culture; iii. Charity work and social service; and iv. Business and Entrepreneurship -- to be leaders of the future.

They will (a.) develop Core leadership skills; (b.) Engage and interact with Accomplished leaders; (c.) Develop social and community awareness that is very much needed for Hindus; (d.) Get a good recognition across the community with awareness of available resources to preserve our culture and traditions as a Hindu. This may be a difficult project, but ground work needs to be done.

These students also will be studying Hindu Dharma as in the previous 4.

We have in our community in Chennai, Mumbai, Bangaluru, Kuala Lumpur, and other cities several of our friends who have achieved positions in major government and in private industries. They will be a good resource if they can be made to come forward to teach for about 2 hours once in 2 to 3 months.

Since this is beneficial to the Hindu Youth to achieve high positions and leadership in our Government and private sector projects, there will be a good response as they see the personal benefit in this. People will come forward.

These projects, being a social service can be funded from public resources, contributions and also government grants and support from private organization of Industrialists.

Combine these with Spiritual development courses, Sanskrit and Hindu education, Vocational training, Health camp, Health education lectures.

In all these projects, Basic Hindu Dharma education, Tutorial support classes for school, Spiritual studies for adults and Social support with Health Care are the most important in all communities, especially those who are poor.

Master Plan for Loka Dharma FoundationPoints to keep clear in our mind:

==========================================================================

We should follow the rules of inclusiveness rather than behave as exclusive groups. That means, every group should accept any Hindu who wishes to join them in prayers.

Many of the major social and religious leaders of the Hindu communities in all Southern States should be approached to join the force andwork together for the common cause of

Dharma.

Many of these procedures and plans are already being practiced in many area temples, but wewill bring a uniformity in this traditions.
