WednesdayFamily Night Here at Second Baptist Church Wednesday night is family night. Each week we provide classes and activities for all ages along with our weekly Fellowship Supper.

We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God.

Disciple University On Wednesday, January 4th, we will begin our new Disciple University Classes. We are offering two on Wednesday evenings and four on Sunday evenings. There are brochures available in the Grand Lobby with more details as to which classes are meeting when and in what room, as well as what each class is about and information on any study materials encouraged for the classes. Make sure and grab one today and come join us either Wednesday at 6:00 PM or Sunday at 5:15 PM! You may register for one of the Disciple University Classes at the Welcome Center.

Office Hours On Monday, January 2nd, the Church Offices, Family Life Center, and Youth Activities Center will all be closed in honor of New Year’s Day. We will resume normal office hours on Tuesday, January 3rd.

Tuesday Morning Ladies, we have a Bible Study specifically for you on Tuesday Mornings at 9:30 AM beginning January 10th. We will be going through Kelly Minter’s study entitled All Things New, A Study Of 2 Corinthians. We invite you to join us! A nursery is provided as well. You may register for this class at the Welcome Center.

Bible Reading Plan We have our 2017 Bible Reading Plans in the Grand Lobby at our Information Towers. This plan is to guide you as you read through the Bible in one year! The books of the Bible and chapters are organized in semi-chronological order. It takes a Psalm a day and encourages you to pray through the chapter. We encourage you to pick up one today and get started!

Happy New Year! We are so glad you’ve joined us here on New Year’s Day! In honor of this special day, we will have no activities on campus tonight. We encourage you to celebrate and worship with your family and friends.

Wednesday Schedule Our Wednesday Schedule will be back to normal beginning this Wednesday, January 4th. So come join us at 4:30 PM for Family Night Supper and then connect in Bible Study or serve in one of our various ministries! We look forward to kicking things off with you here in 2017!

Tasting Grace Tasting Grace is a wonderful mentoring-in-the-kitchen ministry! On Saturday, January 21st, at 10:00 AM we begin our third year of Tasting Grace and we couldn’t be happier. Last year a book was published about this ministry and Tasting Grace ministries are popping up in other churches. The JOY of TG is spreading! Jan Hamil and Jan Morton would love to see you in the kitchen with a word from God for your heart and a delicious menu for your soul. Sweet times and treasured friendships are the result and more confidence in your cooking skills. Women – we need each other – come join in the fun!

Daniel Crews Next Sunday, January 8th, we will have recording vocalist Daniel Crews with us. He began on staff at First Baptist Jacksonville in January 2014. He will sing with us in our morning service and will be in concert during our evening service. Daniel’s unique voice blends classical sound with contemporary appeal. You will not want to miss him, so make your plans to join us!

Our Family Night Supper begins at 4:30 PM every Wednesday night in the Family Life Center. The cost is $4 per adult and $3 per child with a max cost of $15 per family.

THIS WEEK’s MENU WILL BE: Spaghetti, broccoli & cheese, potato/salad bar, cheese biscuits, dessert. The kids menu is the same.
