    C.1.4 De-ration of the out door unit has to be considered for 43.3 Deg C out door conditions.

    C.1.5 Selection criteria:

    Indoor unit: Match the de-humidified air quantity as mentioned in the design data summary.

    If the same cannot be matched, then strike an equilibrium between the refrigeration demand and dehumidified air quantity.

    Out-door unit After de-ration (@ 8-10%) , the capacity of out-door unit shall not be less than the peak refrigeration demand of flat.

    Following conditions apply to the selection of indoor and out door capacity.

    Multi layer composite pipe ( 20 mm dia ) shall be used for condensate drain. Pipe shall run in floor finish from indoor to nearest floor trap. Termination of drain pipe in floor trap shall be provided by

    plumbing consultant

    1 phase Electrical power at indoor unit shall be provided by Electrical consultant in case of conventional split AC system.

    No extra unit shall be provided for dresser. Dresser shall be cooled through infiltration. In case of closed dresser, separate hi-wall indoor unit shall be provided ( client to take decision )

    80-100 mm dia Sleeves in beam shall be provided in beam for ref. piping wherever required ( by civil contractor)

    Ref. piping and cabling shall run in cornice from outdoor unit to each indoor unit ( cornice shall be provided by architect )

    Wall construction (RCC or clay bricks). If RCC, then refrigerant piping issues to be deliberated in length.

    Hi-wall type indoor unit shall be provided for each room of flat

    Toilet ventilation for flats are not in our scope of work.

    Architects and Client team to decide on whether false ceiling is to be provided or not.

    Location of out door units to be frozen early in the project. Access and maintainability not to be ignored.

    All civil work shall be done by civil contractor.

    No stairwell is pressurised. Openings at each midlanding will be provided as per NBC of India by architect. I

    No liftlobby is pressurised. It will be ensured by architect that the said space will qualify as naturally ventilated.

    All Basement Shall have ventilation system as per NBC, in terms of ventilation rates 10 air changes normal, 30 air changes in fire.

    Fire zoning for car parking areas shall be done 1500 - 1650 sqm area.

    Tube axial fan with duct silencer shall be provided for normal ventilation ( 10 ACPH ) and Axial fan with silencer for balance 20 ACPH. This assumes that the normal extract fans will also run in a firesituation.

    Ducted system shall be provided only for 10 ACPH.

    All services room will have dedicated ventilation system
