About This Chapter

The BTS3012AE uses the DPMU, DTMU, NPMI, and different types of sensors to perform thefunctions of the environment monitoring subsystem. These functions include the monitoring ofenvironment, such as the temperature, humidity, voltage, and current. The BTS3012AE can beconfigured with a DMLU, which connects to the external alarm box. The DMLU can protectthe monitoring signals from lightning strikes.

l Managing and monitoring the environment inside the cabinet, the power supply system,and the charging and discharging of the storage batteries, and reporting the monitoringresults to the DTMU

l The DPMU collects environment variables, such as the temperature, humidity, smoke,water, and door control, from sensors and report them to the DTMU. The DTMU performsproper operations according to the predefined settings and reports the result to the OMCfor the efficient monitoring of BTS environment.

l The direct air control unit performs the heating function and the fans perform the heatdissipation function. The direct air control unit and fans provide proper workingenvironment for internal equipment. When the temperature exceeds the threshold, alarmsare generated.
