SAP Note Header Data Symptom The Software Update Manager (SUM) has stopped during the VALIDATE_QUEUE step with the following error message: "Validation of deployment queue completed with error: The stack does not match the system. Probably the system was changed after the stack was generated. Synchronize the system with SAP Solution Manager and then generate a new stack. Product <product name> with ID <product number> is found in the system but not in the list of expected system products in the stack." In rare cases, it is possible that the information about installed products in the system is incorrect. In these cases, this check in SUM fails. Solution 1. If you are sure that the product referenced in the error message is not installed in the system, remove the information about this product from the database. To do this, execute the following SQL statement: DELETE FROM SAP<JAVA DB SCHEMA>. BC_SL_PRDVERS WHERE ID=<product number> where <product number> is the product number referenced in the error message. 2. Reset SUM by repeatedly using the Back button on the SUM GUI, and then exit the SUM process. NOTE: If the Back button is inactive (disabled), this means that a step or phase is still running. In these cases, you have to proceed as described in "Resetting the Software Update Manager" section in the SUM guide. If the reset is not done correctly on a dual-stack system, you might receive an error in the ABAP phase "VALCHK_INI" when starting SUM again. 3. Remove the SUM directory. 4. Start SUM from the beginning. Reason and Prerequisites

SUM performs a checkwhether the products described in the stack file match the products installed in the SAP system. In rare cases, it is possible that the information about installed products in the system is incorrect. In these cases, this checkin SUM fails.

Solution

1. If you aresure that the product referenced in the error message is not installed in the system, remove the information about this product from the database. To do this, execute the following SQL statement:
