Our goal during construction of the container has been to develop an optimal product for users where operational and hygienic conditions are in focus. The floors have quarter-hollows and toilets are wall mounted for easier cleaning.

The standard sanitary container is divided into two sections, one with toilets and washbasins, and another with showers. There is a separate engineering area for the water treatment system, hydrostatic system and water heater.

A door separates the shower section from the toilet section. Users of the shower section leave their shoes at a shoe shelf in the toilet section before entering the clean zone. For hygienic reasons, the 3 shower stalls have separate shower chambers and drains to prevent water entering the neighboring stalls.

The shower section contain the following fixtures:

Different Configurations:

The standard ablution container consists in terms of function, of two separate sections. One section contains three toilets, urinals for two persons and double wash basin. The other has three showers and a double wash basin. Both sections also have a range of other appliances, designed to support the main functions

Sanitary container

The shower configuration, with built in generator, comes with 4 complete changing rooms, and showers stalls. Drains in both rooms, no wash basins.

Each shower in separate room with private entrance door. Each shower room contains: Hand wash basin, mirror, hook for clothes, wall mounted folding chair, dry zone for change of clothes, shower curtain, soap-shelf and shower. Everything in stainless steel. In addition the container has a separate technical room with entrance through double door at the short side of the container. Technical room contains water heater, water tank, pumps and AC.

Each toilet in separate room with private entrance door. Each toilet room contains: Hand wash basin, urinal, toilet paper holder, hook for jacket and toilet. Everything in stainless steel. Painting System Internal and external painting systems are in accordance with FS 8010-0052 item 7.3, system 2.1. The finish, including painting system, is decribed below in terms of pre-treatment, no. of coats and dry film thickness.

Internal walls Stainless steel on all walls and ceiling, built of modules which are moulded (15°) at the ends. Stainless steel plates are fully cemented in addition to being screwed together at the joints.Stainless steel type: Aisi 304 polished with grit 240, thickness of 1.25 mm.Furring with 2” x 4” CC 60 slats fitted on L-iron.15 mm. watertight plywood fitted on 2” x 4” slats.

Doors Delivered with insulated outer doors of steel with 50x50 cm. shockproof insulation glass. The doors have 3 x reinforced hinges and door pumps are fitted.

Water Water pipes are conceled with a !’ pipe in piping, protected by self-regulating heating cable. Pipe connections are terminated at each apparatus with a ball valve. The piping is fitted with a drainage point for draining prior to transport or storage.

Electrical System The standard current is 3x400V/50Hz, but other kinds of current can be supplied on request.The container’s electrical system complies with STANAG 4133, 4135.All apparatuses are CE-approved.Internally concealed system in corrugated pipes to the appliances in the wall to the electric socket at end points.External cable: H07RN-F (replaces NMHVO) is used. This cable in an EPR insulated cable with a max operating temperature of 90°C. The cable is oil-proof and for indoor and outdoor use.All cables that are used externally have a reduction factor of 0.79 due to the high ambient temperatures (STANAG A1)

UVC Microbicidal ProtectionPeace-keeping forces are constantly being deployed to remote and challenging locations. The threat situation with regard to contagious diseases spread by parasites, micro-organisms and viruses has dramatically worsened in recent years. We have addressed these problems by installing air-optimization and UVC microbicidal protection in our kitchen and sanitary containers. UVC is an effective and well-documented means of disinfecting air, surfaces and water. No resistance problems are associated with UVC disinfection. “Smart” microbes can develop resistances to antibiotics and chemicals, but with UVC there are no such problems. Low-pressure UVC sources are used in disinfectant applications. UVC damages the genetic material so that microbes cannot breed.

The UVC technology has been developed with a view to satisfy the strictest bio-safety guidelines (level P4) formulated by the CDC (Centre for Disease Control) in the USA and WHO. CSI is probably the only company in the world that uses UVC technology in field sanitary systems.
