RY In the year 1803, in the wilderness, on the frontier of Western

Pennsylvania, a little church began. Twenty-seven charter membersrepresenting thirteen families formed a worshiping body with no pastor,no building, and no money.

However, with a steadfast faith, they knew that God would provide. Earlythat spring, in response to their request, the Presbytery of Erie sent acommittee to organize the church that was later called “Westfield”.Tradition holds that when one of the first members died, he was buriedon the high ground of the west field belonging to Mr. Charles Clarke. He,along with another, eventually donated two tracts of land for a newchurch building near that site. Thus, the name “Westfield” was adoptedand a log cabin was built.

As the congregation increased, there became a need for new buildingsand over a period of time, five others were constructed. The fifthcontinues to be our church building but has been updated throughnumerous projects of renovations and additions.

The Westfield congregation has flourished through diligent and fruitfulyears maintaining its strong steady commitment to uphold the scripture,live our faith, reach out to others, and serve the Lord.

We have been members of the Covenant order of

Evangelical Presbyterians since 2015, in the Rivers

of Life Presbytery.

Membership is made up of a variety of

professionals, including farmers,

teachers, and self-employed individuals

who make up a large part of the

congregation.

team, bell choir, and a variety of

MISSIONS

We support global missionaries in Pakistan, Indonesia, Chile, Slovakia, Sudan, and Africa, as

well as local missions such as Meals On Wheels, Mohawk Coffee House, and Project H.O.P.E.

(local food pantry). Our church also serves on annual mission trips, and has long-standing

partnerships with Operation Christmas Child and Kwetu Faraja based in Tanzania.

The salary of the Senior Pastor will be commensurate with education and
