I went to a party there on Friday and it was a great night as always, great food, great music, food and atmosphere, professional service and a personal care to all of us from the owner through out the night! And again and again, THE VIEW! Just perfect. And the new interior - good idea and very well done! Wish you all the best in the upcoming summer and thank you!

“A beautiful restaurant with a view of the Charles Bridge”


You can see this restaurant as you cross the Charles Bridge. It is one of the few overlooking the river. When I asked about the name I was told the second word is pronounced see-hell-now. Cute. I went for lunch and it was very relaxing sitting outside gazing at the water. I had a very tender chicken breast and a glass of champagne which was only a little more expensive than white wine. The waiter was very attentive without being intrusive. At night I am sure it is magical with all the lights.

“Excellent Dinner”

We made a reservation via their web site and showed a tad bit early. Everything was well taken care off and excellent! The service was great, the food really good, and the setting marvelous. We actually felt under dressed. This is a very nice, classy restaurant. We will be back!

“Lovely view, delicious food and excellent service!”


We wanted to make our last evening count and decided to go to a fancy place we located earlier in our wanders. The restaurant is situated alongside the northern shore of the Vltava. It has a quite impressive, modern yet warm looking interior. However it does not beat its terrace with view on the other side of the city, the Charles Bridge and the lights reflecting in the darkening waters.

Regarding the food, the menu is well yet not too furnished. We went for a spinach soup and gambas salad for starters and foie gras burger and the boar as main dishes. Everything was excellent, the meat well cooked and tender. The wine menu will certainly please connoissers as well.

Last but not least, we had the most caring and pleasant waiter. Present but not oppressive, of sound advice but not imposing and funny to interact with. He gave our evening the touch required to make it perfect.

All in all, if you're looking for a fancy pleasant dinner, this is where to go. It will be worth the price without a doubt (and for Western European standards, it is still really affordable).

PS: try their Royal Mojito, it's... royal!

“Million-dollar view”

After the wedding ceremony we arrived at the restaurant with some friends and family. We were received very nice to sit outside with a view of the bridge. We all left very satisfied, good food, very nice waitress and patient! The place fills you relaxing and good energy. Not cheap but still can be worth :)

“Great food, beautiful setting”


We loved our dinner at Hergetova Cihelna! Had a patio table right on the water, really fun view of Charles Bridge and all of the boats and swans and ducks in the river. Delicious food, nice sized servings, not over-priced. Accommodated our gluten free needs. Would definitely return on another trip to Prague.

“Great View of the Bridge”


Was there with a group of 14 people and unfortunately the waitress we had was really, really lousy. The food was good and served well, but we didn't get any wine with the starters nor the main course, and when we asked for something to drink, only a few got serviced. The people furthest away wasn't served until we told here to :) Nah, pretty sad because this seems to be a really good restaurant overall.

“Beautiful view and great food”

We had reserved a table at the front overlooking the river and the Charles bridge and were glad to have done so as the view of the bridge in the evening was stunning. The service was very good, extremely welcoming staff and the food was excellent. We both had the duck crispy rolls to start and then the beef tenderloin special which was very good. Puddings were excellent too and the wine, although pricey by the glass was of good quality. Would definitely recommend for a special evening.

“Excellent despite the tourist invasion”


You sit by the river overviewing The Charles Bridge next to the floods of tourists."Red alert" for dining! But this restaurant was Magic really including suberb food and wine, surprisingly. Just go there, we did mistakes entering other restaurants along the river that did not care about anything. Extra happening were the service performed by Aneta. If we start a restaurant she will be our first employee.

“Best Lunch with Fantastic View of Charles Bridge”

We were unable to get dinner reservations on short notice at this elegant restaurant but we did drop by for lunch while walking from the gardens below Prague Castle on our way to Charles Bridge. It's a little hard to find but if you stay close to the river, you'll see a little inset with cafes and the restaurant is located right on the river below that. We were surprised at how large the restaurant is and how modern and sophisticated everything was, but the terrace overlooking the river and the Charles Bridge is the real stunner. We got some incredible photos of us sitting at our table with the bridge in the background. Now on to the food - excellent! We had a delicious chicken Caesar salad with wine for a light lunch and the presentation was 1st class and they have an impressive wine list. Our server was very friendly and helpful and we had a relaxing and very enjoyable respite from the crowds. Our bill was a little higher than other places in Prague, but well worth the food and the location, and still reasonable. I can only imagine how breathtaking this restaurant would be in the evening for dinner. Make reservations ahead of time and don't miss this gem of a place!

“Great evening on the river”


Arrived for reservation. Seated at table on the river. Beautiful setting. Stanislav was our server. Was very personable, but professional. Explained the menu, took our drink orders and allowed us time to review menu and decide. Salads and entrees were wonderful. Everything fresh. The four of us decided best meal in Prague and all meals were good. As the town lighted up at dusk the view was wonderful, but the best part was the food and our terrific server. Put this restaurant on your must-dine in Prague.

“Lovely terrace overlooking Charles Bridge”


We managed to get last table on the terrace without a reservation on our first night in Prague - very fortunate, but it was latish already.

Great atmosphere to sip a glass of champagne. The food was excellent. For starters we had duck springrolls and a ceasar salad. Main course wild boar neck with mash, delicious, can recommend it. Equally good was the burger with foi gras, truffle aioli and chips - so large that I could not finish it.

Not a budget place, but great food, views and atmosphere.

“Amazing view with good food”


The restaurant is very well situated. Has an amazing view and good food. I ordered the grilled octopus which was delicious. The only thing we were upset about was that there were no vegeterian food. But they were sweet enough to prepare my vegeterian friend a dish that wasn't on the menu. Definitely recommend this place.

“Disappointing”


Last time we were in Prague we went to Kampala park this time we thought we would try its sister restaurant. Very underwhelmed, the smoked eel starter lack flavour the main slow cooked boar was tough and fatty. Service mixed, wine arrived after the starters and a spoon to eat the second starter arrived after the wine resulting in cold soup. Price and food do not match the fantastic view.

“Fabulous food with a great location and superb service”


We visited for my sister's 30th birthday meal and we were not disappointed. We had a riverside table with a great view over towards the Charles Bridge. The food was fantastic, service absolutely top class and even the nice touch of have a blanket for every diner for when it got chilly in the evening. Easily accessible either by walking over the bridge or taking the underground then a short walk. Very much recommended.

“Location, location, location”


This is an attractive, convenient, and quite large restaurant, located almost next to the Charles Bridge (on the Castle side) and behind the Kafka museum. While the staff are amicable and attentive, the best part of this restaurant is the terrace, which overlooks the river, the bridge, and the Old Town opposite. It has stunning views and is a very relaxing place to rest (although as we ate early, before 8, I can't say what the noise level is when it's full). It is very popular with tourists, and for good reason.

The cocktails were good, and there is an adequate selection and a good wine list. The menu had enough choices to suit most tastes, but wasn't overly expansive. I think it is a moderately expensive place to eat, but if one is weary and looking to recuperate from the crowds/walking experience that is Prague, then this is an excellent choice.

“Wild Boar with a great view”


My wife and I had lunch here today sitting on a cool terrace after a hot morning walking. From the time we arrived until we left the service was top notch and the food excellent. Our waiter (old style

not a "server") was very attentive and made sure we were comfortable and recommended drinks and food. Roasted Wild Boar Neck with a jus and some of the best mashed potatoes I have ever had. Coupled with the view were special. Highly recommend this restaurant!!

“A lovely terrace with a romantic view”

The food was delicious and our waitress Diana was a welcoming friendly host. the best part was the scenery and sipping our drinks watching the Charles bridge under the full moon. “Superb restaurant in a magical city.”


We visited this restaurant with three other couples on a Saturday night and couldn't have been more pleased. First of all, the restaurant is right on the Vltava River and if you choose to dine on the patio you will have one of the best views of Prague and the Charles Bridge. Because it was a cold and windy night, we chose a table inside even though they provided blankets and heaters outside. Our service was impeccable thanks to our server, Diana. She gave us wonderful suggestions and couldn't have been more attentive. The food and presentation were outstanding - everyone loved their meal. We all agreed that we can't wait to go back to Prague and to this restaurant.

“Romantic dinner for two was just great”


We reserved the dinner just one day ahead, the restaurant was not full. We even got a place on the terrace, next to the river with a great view of the Charles bridge. I had Smoked eel+wild boar neck+ crème brûlée and it was just delicious. We paid 2600 CZK (about 100 EUR or 115$) for two, including wine and tip. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. I think the highlight was the terrace, the view is really magnificent.

“Superb restaurant in a magical city.”


We visited this restaurant with three other couples on a Saturday night and couldn't have been more pleased. First of all, the restaurant is right on the Vltava River and if you choose to dine on the patio you will have one of the best views of Prague and the Charles Bridge. Because it was a cold and windy night, we chose a table inside even though they provided blankets and heaters outside. Our service was impeccable thanks to our server, Diana. She gave us wonderful suggestions and couldn't have been more attentive. The food and presentation were outstanding - everyone loved their meal. We all agreed that we can't wait to go back to Prague and to this restaurant.

“Food with a view”


Made a point of going to this restaurant after seeing it from the Charles bridge. View is spectacular - service is very friendly - and food is good. Very glad that we walked to this restaurant - absolutely worth it for the view alone!

“Incredible view”


Best night view in Prague. Stunning coctails. But don't buy Virgin Mary soft coctail. It is just tomato juice

“Stunning place”

“Romantic dinner for two was just great”


We reserved the dinner just one day ahead, the restaurant was not full. We even got a place on the terrace, next to the river with a great view of the Charles bridge. I had Smoked eel+wild boar neck+ crème brûlée and it was just delicious. We paid 2600 CZK (about 100 EUR or 115$) for two, including wine and tip. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. I think the highlight was the terrace, the view is really magnificent.

“Perfect evening with a great view”


We had a perfect evening to sit outside and enjoy the view, along with great food. Our server was entertaining and attentive. Our group had fish, octopus and the hamburger. All were very good!

“Nice place with amazing view to the Charles bridge”


Really nice place with amazing seatings outside to overseeing the river and the famous Charles bridge. The menu is amazing, I like most the wok specialities. Everything is fresh, tasty and beautiful served. They have a wide selection of wines, good beer and lot of cocktails. The staff is very professional. The food is bit expensive but the location is perfect.

“Today's dinner ”


Very nice place with view on Karlov bridge. The food was high quality. The service was nice and helpful. It is not cheap comparing to others, but offers a different quality.

Po polsku: bardzo fajne miejsce widokNa most Karola. Jedzie dobre - niestety nie najtańsze. Jak chcecie odpocząć od typowego czeskiego jadła - dobra alternatywa.
