InterceptionAn “interruption” of passing

amongst a team.Object can NOT be dropped.

Blocked PassHitting or swiping an object out of the air from the other team, resulting in it falling

to the ground

Dropped BallPassing to a teammate and they miss the pass or drop

the object, resulting in a “TURNOVER”

TurnoverOpposing team receives possession of the object

(ball) because original team had a “DROPPED BALL”

Offense-Team that has the ball- Trying to earn points-Successfully keeping possession of object

-Scoring/shooting

Defense- Team that is protecting a specific

area on playing field- Blocking passes/shots

- Creating a wall, or “fence” to protect specific area

Types of Defense

Man to Man – guarding one person for the game and sticking to them like glueZone – staying in a specific area on the playing field and guarding whoever comes in to that area during the game

PivotGlue one foot to the floor and move the other foot

around so your body faces different directions.

Drop StepMoving backwards on a
