Primary Sources:Cohen, Robert. "Summary of Analysis for Selecting the Power Source for the Gemini Project." Gemini Project Note. Houston, 23 Jan. 1962

This source was also very helpful for our study because when NASA was selecting the power source for the Gemini missions they created an invention that could propel the rocket into space safely. Which also created an invention that was important.

Eggleston, John M. "Inter-NASA Research and Space Development Centers Discussion on Space Rendezvous, May 16-17, 1960." Washington, n.d.

This source was helpful because it showed the research that NASA did while conducting their research. This also showed how NASA conquered problems in every way which helped create some inventions.

Grimm, Dean F.; Stafford, Thomas P.; and Schirra, Walter M., Jr. "Report on Gemini VI Rendezvous." MSC, Houston, 28 Feb. 1966This source was helpful because this game a report on the Gemini mission which later created some of the firefighting tools used today like the fire attire that firemen wear today. Overall this was a very helpful source.

Hughes Aircraft Co., Nucleonics Laboratory. "Lunar Surface Assembly Techniques: A Preliminary Study of Refueling for the Lunar Surface Rendezvous." Hughes Report FD-61-401 (JPL 950167), 2 Oct. 1961.

This was very helpful because it helped us with some of the inventions that came from this study that NASA conducted in 1961. After this study a few inventions not to significant ones came from this but, one invention that we have in Mylar.

Schanz, J. L., and Bullock, E. K. "Gemini Fuel Cell Power Source - First Spacecraft Application." ARS Paper 2561-62. Presented at American Rocket Society, Power Systems Conference, Santa Monica, Calif., 25-28 Sept. 1962.

This source was helpful because this showed how they finally choose the Gemini power source which was very important for NASA. This was also a great time for an invention which was created and was called Warp-10.

Secondary Sources:10 Surprising NASA Inventions." 10 Surprising NASA Inventions. N.p., n.d. Web. 10 Mar. 2013.

In order to find some more general facts on the inventions and in order to triple check that they were genuine, I went through MSN’s list and compared them to ours. I used some of their info and sources to tweak our existing paragraphs.

Page 2: inventionsofnasa.weebly.com€¦ · Web viewEggleston, John M. "Inter-NASA Research and Space Development Centers Discussion on Space Rendezvous, May 16-17, 1960." Washington,

"What High-tech Products Came from NASA Technology?" HowStuffWorks. N.p., n.d. Web. 10 Mar. 2013.

How Stuff Works was a huge help for the entire project, and this resource was one of the many reasons why. It had links to all sorts of topics and content that was directly related to the inventions and industries that came from NASA.

"X-Ray Microscope Invention | NASA | Patents | Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys." Patent & Trade Mark Attorneys. N.p., n.d. Web. 24 Jan. 2013.

This patent-oriented site went in-depth with a patent that NASA filed, an x-ray microscope. It helped me better understand NASA as a organization that can alsp file patents and act as a company. I will use this in my project to show that NASA had some great creativity.

Smith, Jim. "Space Age Inventions You Probably Use." CNN. Cable News Network, n.d. Web. 16 Jan. 2013.

The author of this CNN post was informing readers about the inventions of NASA that are common and taken for granted. I enjoyed his style of writing and used a quote of his on the website.

Space Shuttle Water Purification System. Web. 20 Jan. 2013. <http://tn.sawfnews.com/newsphotos/Health/nasa_water_treatment_system.jpg>.

This is a picture of the early water purification systems used in the Space Shuttle Missions that actually worked. Through my research, I have realized that one big spinoff that we must cover is Water Purification. As we plan to talk in detail about this in our website, we also need some pictures along with it to support our text. This picture, we believe, will be used as part of the website.

Spinoff FAQ. N.p., n.d. Web. 6 Jan. 2013. <http://spinoff.nasa.gov/spinfaq.htm#spinfaq>.

This is a FAQ page for the published book "Spinoffs". Here, on this website, it covers some of the basics about the NASA spinoffs, how it all started, and some general background info into the world of NASA Spinoffs. I used this source as a starter, using this to kick-off my knowledge into the NASA spinoffs that came to be over the many decades. This specific research is one of many that I used to get an beginning idea of my project.

Spires, Shelby G. "The Teflon Myth and Other `inventions' from NASA." Chicago Tribune. Newhouse News Service, 05 Mar. 2007. Web. 17 Jan. 2013.

This site was very helpful because I never knew that some of the accidental inventions were ever released. So that really surprised me and turns out that some of those actually played a big part in some of the big inventions that NASA created like Water filtration.

Spires, Shelby G. "The Teflon Myth and Other `inventions' from NASA." Chicago Tribune. Newhouse News Service, 05 Mar. 2007. Web. 12 Mar. 2013.

This resource was extremely insightful, as the author chose to speak about the accidental inventions of NASA, and some of their more played down moments. I used several of the stories on the site, in the “Extra” section.
