o Jim Robinson hired two new hires. Working on two power houses. Five on staff. Business is good. Looking for seasoned people is difficult. Difficult for non-US residents to get visa.

o Rod Heckman shares that his company is doing procurement and energy monitoring. Industrial Internet. How much energy does your building use? Middle industry market.

o Paul Spiegel continues work within municipal buildings. First solar array. 1.1 mega-watt system. Four-year pay back. Mr. Spiegel will do similar work with other clients. Utility prices are higher in New Jersey than here.

o Anne-Marie Crossan reports that attendance is up at the Gardens. Projects are brewing but waiting for funding. It is the first springtime that Longwood Gardens have started up the new fountains.

o Steve Krug shares that he is busy with buildings. State committee work is busy also. Mr. Krug is working on climate change reports. Building codes change in October from 2009 to 2015 and maybe 2018 in the city of Philadelphia.

o Alex Dews reports that City 2018 Community in Philadelphia will result in a 25% difference in energy used. CPACE vote is in the House. o William Ronayne and BVHVAC has become even more busy over the last two weeks. His geothermal business has a couple of houses coming online currently.

Marketing Ideas and Implementation (Rod)o Every company should be with SEI.o Every company could be offering Smart Energy Services.o SEI connects Pennsylvania companieso On the SEI Webpage under Initiatives we provide information

about the PA Power Switch and a weblink to find out more.o Review the target list that Jim Lauckner distributed. We want to

become the Angie’s list for Energy related companies to come collaborate.

o Green Building had made a yellow pages type of list for energy companies in Philadelphia. People did not utilize it because they used search engines on the web to access the information.

o How can we be valuable?o Jim Robinson reports that his company is a small company looking

for solutions. Some like theirs, don’t know the opportunities out there. We need to get the word out to the end-user. DES Global, LLC will be a Case study for PECO. Case studies are helpful to those shopping for energy or ways to a green building. A Pulp and paper company he is working with want to read about success stories so that they can replicate that. More economical. Companies are seeking low risk/high return energy savings.

o Our group agreed that corporate drives down to facilities folks often, but they are limited. When an energy consultant comes into a company to assess, the facilities group can better be heard. That message will make it to decision makers better this way. Communication is better from the consultant.

o How do we reach companies from the top down, or vise-versa?

Review of Targeted Outreach. Asks to join SEI, Geothermal Group Meeting, help with Academy, Sponsors etc. Nominees for the Board Elections in September (Bill)

New York is now a non-fracking state. Most progress they have made is with informing government. New York State will have green energy by 2030 in all schools.

The goal is to have campers enjoy learning about Alternative Energy, Sustainably, Energy Efficiency and potential careers. Camp will begin at 9:00 am and we will bus to a different company each day with arrival would be between 9:30 and 10:00 am. We will have room for 20 to 25 students. We would plan for the students to depart the facility at 2:30, arriving back at the CCEDC offices between 3:00 and 3:30 for a 3:30 parent pick up. Campers grades 7 thru 10.
