Cabangan was formally organized as a pueblo by the Dominican Friars as early as 1680.It is one of the smallest towns in Zambales. It was usually referred to as a sleepy town.

From the previous administrations up to now, the place is slowly but surely attaining progress, access and deploys the necessary resources living in peace, prosperity and justice.

Under the able leadership of our young, energetic Local Executive, for the working Mayor Ronaldo F. Apostol, it is slowly gaining recognition, in terms of governance with the help of the Municipal Officials, Vice Mayor, Sangguniang Bayan members and the support of Cabangeneans abroad and his constituents.

To date, we have three (3) gasoline stations, four (4) financial institutions, and two (2) restaurants and increased income generating places which contribute to the coffers of the municipality.
