THE PROMINENCE OF LOVE ROMANS 12:9a, 18.

“Let love be without dissimulation. If it is possible, as much lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” (KJV)

The prominence of love is simply put as the height of love and its depth, which is the bases and determinant of human coexistence. Without love being central to faith, declaration and expression of faith is nothing but an orchestrated act.

The truth that can never be hidden is that no one can claim to love God without sincere, honest and sacrificial commitment towards spouse, family members and colleagues’ acceptance in their heart of hearts. With this you are first and foremost a loving person to the people around you and thereafter you are regarded to be influential.

As Paul admonished all in the opening portions of this passage, “I beseech you therefore, brethren by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,

holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” (Rom. 21:1 KJV) What then are the defining aspects of love that both you and I need to be continually working on and growing in? The love that its strength is derived from the grace of God which can only be achieved through our consistent presentation of our body to the Lord as a living sacrifice, holy, and acceptable to God.

It is good to state at this point that we are laying the foundation on the topic of

discuss. The prominence of love is enveloped in the work of salvation as written in John 3:16 for God so love the world that He gave His only begotten son…for our salvation. Any love that is expressed towards the other person that will not lead to eternity with Christ is nothing but a show of commitment and egocentric in description. Our love towards our fellow human should be kingdom focused, heavenly minded and simply to say Christ centered.

There is no height or depth, length or breadth that is exhaustible when talking about love, none the less it cannot be made on just emotional bases as the flesh desires. It should be as the spirit of the Lord leads. This is the love that we are talking today, not as related to lust of the flesh, lust of the eye or pride of life. Do you love the next person to you?
