I have kept my costumes and location normal looking so I’m keeping my props simple otherwise it would not fit in with the music video or the song. What I will need: Camera – for filming and digipack photos Extra camera – to film the behind the scenes footage Guitar – for the model I am using an SLR camera for the filming of my music video and the photography for my digipack. I am hoping that as it is an SLR camera of a good quality that this will make my video look more professional and of a higher quality I’m going to bring a backup camera just in case there are problems while filming and I need to have another camera. I also may use this to film certain behind the scenes footage that I might later use as sometimes a convention of an artist trying to promote their music video they relies behind the scenes videos of them filming, giving more to their target audience applying uses and gratification theory (UGT) There aren’t many props that will be featuring in my music video however the main one in a guitar for the model to pretend to play and when I am in post-production I will edit it to the song. I picked this colour guitar as I think the pale wood will stand out nicely against the dark clothing on the model and dark lighting and setting. I chose to add a guitar as it is a common convention in music videos to have many different scene changes and I feel that I need a break from the outside shots. It is also a common convention in the genre of alternative to see a guitar as it gives the audience a look into them performing and also applies the uses and gratification theory

Props list:

For my music video I want it to be a natural environment because of my genre and also

inspiration I have taken from other music videos. I have kept my costumes and location normal

looking so I’m keeping my props simple otherwise it would not fit in with the music video or the

song.

What I will need:

Camera – for filming and digipack photos

Extra camera – to film the behind the scenes footage

Guitar – for the model

I am using an SLR camera for the filming of my music video and

the photography for my digipack. I am hoping that as it is an

SLR camera of a good quality that this will make my video look

more professional and of a higher quality

I’m going to bring a backup camera just in case there are

problems while filming and I need to have another camera. I

also may use this to film certain behind the scenes footage that

I might later use as sometimes a convention of an artist trying

to promote their music video they relies behind the scenes

videos of them filming, giving more to their target audience

applying uses and gratification theory (UGT)

There aren’t many props that will be featuring in my music video

however the main one in a guitar for the model to pretend to play and

when I am in post-production I will edit it to the song. I picked this

colour guitar as I think the pale wood will stand out nicely against the

dark clothing on the model and dark lighting and setting. I chose to

add a guitar as it is a common convention in music videos to have

many different scene changes and I feel that I need a break from the

outside shots. It is also a common convention in the genre of

alternative to see a guitar as it gives the audience a look into them

performing and also applies the uses and gratification theory
