EL CLUB DE AJEDRÉZ DE RIDGETOP – 13 DE ENERO El Club de Ajedréz de Ridgetop ofrecerá un taller “Teach the Parents” el próximo sábado, 13 de enero de 11:00 a 13:00 horas en la biblioteca de Ridgetop. El entrenador local de ajedrez escolástico Gary Gaiffe presentará cómo enseñar el ajedrez a sus hijos, así como también ideas sobre cómo organizarse y ofrecerse como voluntario en un Club de Ajedrez Elemental. Esto está abierto a todos, independientemente de si su hijo se encuentra o no en el club Ridgetop Chess. ¡Ven y aprende!

PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT:

FRIDAY, JANUARY 12, FROM 5PM – 9PM A night out for the parents doubles as a fundraiser for our Pre-K field trips, buses, and classroom supplies. Please help do your part, donate and enjoy a few hours of adult time for more educational experiences for our kids. Please submit one form per child. Kids must be potty trained $20 per child/ $10 per each additional child

within the same family. Payment at drop-off by check (made out to

Ridgetop PTA) or by credit/debit card (with additional $1 fee)

RIDGETOP CHESS CLUB – JAN 13 The Ridgetop Chess Club will be hosting a “Teach the Parents” workshop next Saturday, January 13th from 11:00pm to 1:00pm in the Ridgetop Library. Local Scholastic Chess Coach Gary Gaiffe will be presenting on how to teach your kids chess, as well as thoughts on organizing and volunteering with an Elementary Chess Club. This is open to all, whether or not your kid is currently in the Ridgetop Chess club. Come and Learn!

Water is zero calories, and free. Thirsty on the go? Keep a refillable water bottle with you. Try adding fresh fruit slices for flavor.

Know the Hidden Sugars

Added sugar has many names, like “Corn Syrup”, “High Fructose Corn Syrup”, and “Fructose”. Check food labels and watch for hidden sugars.

Avoid Sports Drinks

Sports drinks sound healthy but are loaded with added sugar. Refresh with water when doing sports.

SCHOOL MUSICAL REHEARSALS – JAN 26 Rehearsals for The Jungle Book begin on January 26th at (3-5:30 pm) for Main Cast. Rehearsals for both Main Cast and Chorus begin in February.
