he name “Tatiana Pará” is one of the highlights of brazilian edition of Guitar Player Magazine. Since 2007, she writes a monthly column in this magazine, which is the most traditional publication for guitarists worldwide. In her approach, she provides Blues and Blues/Rock lessons for the readers, analyzing and translating with a modern language and teaching the phrasing of the big guitarists of the genre.

Through this recognition, Tatiana was chosen to be among the best guitar players in Brazil in three CDs of Guitar Player, released in 2009, 2010 and 2013.Currently, in addition to having released her first solo album “My Moods”, the guitarist works with the bands Crats and Kriptonita, besides her appearances in several projects that she’s invited. Her knowledge, acquired over the years is sha-red with guitarists from all over the country through private lessons (in person or online) using her own custom method. Still in the didactic part, Tati conducts workshops and master classes in Brazil.In 2015, Tatiana was chosen by popular vote for the first place in the Jam Track Central contest (JTC contest), in the Blues category.

The beginning

In 1998, she begin the College of Arts Alcântara Machado (FAAM), where she graduated BA in guitar. The academic studies helped her expand the vision and understand music as a whole, without distinction of “theory and practice”. This is the basis for her development as an artist, creator and musician.The guitar has always fascinated Tatiana in different ways. Initially the passion came from Rock, influenced by Ritchie Blackmore, Jimmy Page and Brian May, but over the years and with more knowledge, she fell in love with the various possibilities that the instrument allows.She began teaching at 18 years old and since then never stopped. On stage

In 2000, Tati was invited to be Barra da Saia’s guitarist (country style band). She recorded the first CD of the group, relea-sed in 2004, and toured all over Brazil.Since the beginning, Tatiana always liked Blues. Her early influences came from Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Then she discovered a world of guitarists like Robben Ford, Albert King, Derek Trucks, Johnny Winter, Warren Haynes, Scott Henderson, Michael Landau, Eric Johnson and others.What most delights her in Blues is the feeling, improvisation, creativity and how music can be raised to different climates.For Tatiana, playing blues is a pleasure, thrill and pure feeling.

From this passion, she was invited to join the band Go Go Girls Blues, formed only by women. They participated in the Traditional Blues International Festival at SESC Ribeirão Preto, all circuit SESC, Bourbon Street, Paddy’s Pub, and nume-rous other shows. Tatiana also attended Youngsters Blues band.

“All these works gave me sure that Blues is something I love. It’s and will always be present in my life, in my way of playing and feeling the music.”

Tatiana was also invited to Blues brazilian singers shows, she played with Dadá Cyrino, Vasco Faé, Paul Meyer and others.In addition to Blues, Tatiana always had influence of Rock and in 2007, she was ivited to join in the band LACME (Rock), along with Nina Pará and Jô Estrada. This partnership yielded in three CDs: “Reverse” (2008), “Reverse Naked” (2008) and “Mantras and Repetitions of Rock” (2009).

Her own compositions

No doubt that the great ideal of the musician, like any other artist, is to create your own work that brings feelings and thrill for people.

“After 21 years of practice and study the guitar, the instrument has become almost an extension of my body, my soul, my expression. This “gift” provided me a new phase in my musical life, the composition.”

Through this expression, she started her own compositions. With Nina Pará (drums) and Claudio Morgado (bass), they formed Crats, an instrumental trio that mixes Blues, Rock, Funk, R&B and other elements, without labels, pure music, with no unprecedented!With Crats, the guitarist has performed at major venues and shows.Their first CD, “Crats Way” came out in October 2013, which was released in Bourbon Street. Currently, she began a solo career with the newly released album “My Moods”, which has the special participation of Scott Henderson in the track “My Dear Friend”.
