Jews Cast Out – Not Faithful in Their Stewardship!

Woe to you who are at ease in Zion, And trust in Mount Samaria, Notable persons in the chief nation, To whom the house of Israel comes! Go over to Calneh and see; And from there go to Hamath the great; Then go down to Gath of the Philistines. Are you better than these kingdoms? Or is their territory greater than your territory? Woe to you who put far off the day of doom, Who cause the seat of violence to come near; Who lie on beds of ivory, Stretch out on your couches, Eat lambs from the flock And calves from the midst of the stall; Who sing idly to the sound of stringed instruments, And invent for yourselves musical instruments like David; Who drink wine from bowls, And anoint yourselves with the best ointments, But are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph. (Amos 6:1-6)

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who will give you what is your own? (Luke 16:10-12)

Least and Much

Least = unrighteous mammon; material riches

Much = True Spiritual Riches; Kingdom of God and All of Its Blessings

Put Truth Over Selfish Desires – Lk. 16:14-18

Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, also heard all these things, and they derided Him. And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God. The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tittle of the law to fail. Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced from her husband commits adultery.” (Luke 16:14-18)

The Kingdom of God is Preached (Luke 16-16)

…I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent. (Luke 4:43)

Blessed are you poor, For yours is the kingdom of God. (Luke 6:20)

For I say to you, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. (Luke 7:28)

But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God. (Luke 9:27)

And heal the sick there, and say to them, “The kingdom of God has come near to you.” (Luke 10:9)

The Kingdom of God is Preached (Luke 16:16)

Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” (Lk. 17:20-21)

…Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God. (Luke 18:16)

For I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes. (Lk. 22:18)

•Kingdom is for the poor, humble, contrite in heart.

•No higher privilege than citizenship in the kingdom.

•Kingdom to come in that generation.

•Miracles confirmed the teaching of Christ on the kingdom.

•Kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom.

•Kingdom requires sincere, child-like trust in God.

•Ordained the Lord’s Supper in the kingdom—fully established.
