Urban Living Solutions - Developer

AA&A was founded by Mr. Martin Aerne, a Swiss archi-tect who has been practicing and teaching architecture in Cambodia since 2002. AA&A has experience planning and designing projects from large residential buildings to detailed renovations of historic buildings and hotels.

A long-time student of the new Cambodian architecture of the 1960s, Martin aims to design spaces that respect the past while designing solutions for today’s needs. His firm was selected as the winner for the Bakong Village project through a competition led by Urban Living Solutions in 2018.

Established by Mr. KimLeang KEAN in 2016, ULS develops accessible, community-focused homes and commercial spaces that put people first. After spending nearly a decade in the United States Mr. KEAN wanted to build high quality, concept-driven projects that are accessible to middle-class Cambodians.

ULS’s first project was Urban Loft in the Sen Sok neighborhood of Phnom Penh. ULS is also the lead developer on the Urban Village condo and Factory Phnom Penh, a mixed-use technology and creative hub. Bakong Village aims to create the first family-oriented residential community in Siem Reap.

The project is led by Mr. Tony Socheat SAK SUNLY who is overseeing the entire project with support from Community and Creative Director, Mr. Corbett HIX and the rest of the ULS team. ULS head office is located in Phnom Penh with a second office scheduled to open in Siem Reap in 2020.
