Our traditional kimono collection, “Meihinshu” , offers a variety of kimono crafted using traditional techniques, colors, and decorative designs for the bride of today. It has been said that once the traditions we inherit from our ancestors fade away, they will never be revived. This original collection offers shiromuku (pure white wedding kimono), colored bridal over-garments, and long-sleeved kimono created in the hope of passing on the beauty and elegance of traditional Japanese bridal culture to modern brides.

TAKAMI BRIDAL has 11 directly operated costume stores located in major cities of Japan. All of our stores are easily accessible (located within a 10-minute walk from the nearest station), and our crew is happy to respond to requests from customers outside of the area as well. We offer a wide variety of bridal gowns in European and Japanese styles as well as formal wear options for guests, and provide total coordination recommendations for any scenario. Our stores all have private fitting rooms where customers can peruse our collections at their leisure to find the perfect match.

We are able to analyze the usage status of customers for each season using a host computer installed at our BRIDAL LABs and computers and bar code readers at each store. By managing product usage cycles, we are able to analyze and manage product composition reviews and timings for the release of new products.

Under the strict control and observation by our staff who has professional cleaning qualifications, we have implemented a maintenance system using silicone cleaning equipment and other devices optimized to be gentle to both humans and the environment.

We thoroughly inspect our products for sewing pins and any remaining cleaning solvent using special devices (needle and detergent detectors) to ensure that we always provide safe products.

Our Customers receive and wear our products throughout our strict inspection process to maintain high-quality.

We have special delivery vans to keep our products in good conditions and our delivery staff takes care and bring them to the customers efficiently.

TAKAMI BRIDAL performs thorough quality control at our BRIDAL LABs located in Tokyo and Kyoto. At our BRIDAL LABs we have established a unique system to carefully purchase garments, maintain product quality using high performance cleaning equipment, conduct frequent inspections to control product quality, and other operations designed to ensure that we are able to always provide products that our customers can wear comfortably. We also provide our employees with regular training regarding cleaning and materials in order to nurture quality control.

We operate seven churches; Chapelle des Anges MINAMI AOYAMA, The Terrace TOKYO, Chapelle des Anges KAKUOUZAN, Chapelle des Anges KITAYAMA, Kyoto Northern Church,

HARBOR TRI-S CHURCH, and Chapelle des Anges AKASAKA. Our ceremonies are performed placing great value

on the special meanings and family bonds that are deeply tied to the ceremony. Not only for wedding, but we also plan and hold a family such as concerts

and gospel school time to time.

Established in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo in 1999, our first church, Chapelle des Anges, which means “Church of the Angel,” was followed by churches opened in Akasaka (Fukuoka), Kitayama (Kyoto) and Kakuouzan (Nagoya) in 2009. Kyoto Northern Church was established by an American missionary. The church’ s rich, green garden offers a warm welcome to all those who visit. SIRK was established in Kitayama, Kyoto, in 2004, and has been the flower design team responsible for floral coordination at weddings in Kobe since 2005, Fukuoka since 2006, and Nagoya and Tokyo since 2009. Not only does SIRK conduct all operations related to bridal flower arrangements, but also communicates the attraction of flowers to people, including providing flower arrangement lessons.

We operate a school aimed to nurture bridal service professionals, TAKAMI BRIDAL SCHOOL BBA, offering the knowledge we have accumulated since TAKAMI BRIDAL began its operations. Students learn every aspect of bridal services from the very basics in a specialized and practical manner through on-site training at chapels and costume stores and lecturers provided by active professionals in their fields. We produce graduates who go on to work in the service sector, including bridal service companies. We are proud to have a 97% employment rate among graduates.

SIRK was first established on Kitayama Wedding Street, Kyoto in 2004 and opened other studios at HARBOR TRI-S CHURCH, Kobe in 2005 and Chapelle des Anges AKASAKA, Fukuoka in 2006. We have also opened 2 more branches in 2009, at Kakuouzan, Nagoya and Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo. SIRK is responsible for the coordination of bridal related floral arrangements including floral decorations and bouquets. Knowledgeable flower designers create floral arrangements with great care given to each and every flower. SIRK also holds events open to the public, such as flower arranging lessons and workshops. SIRK provides extensive services not only for wedding scenes, but also in many other fields.

The establishment of Kyoto Northern Church was followed by the establishment of a chapel, party dining, guest house, bridal costume store, flower studio, restaurant, and cafe on Kitayama-dori in Kyoto. As of 2003, all facilities and items required for a wedding can be found along this street. We hold a variety of events and concerts throughout the year so that couples considering marriage, as well as their families and other people from the region can visit the wedding street. We also conduct environmental activities to maintain the scenery of the area by planting trees along the street.

“Nippon to Asobo,” which exudes a spirit of hospitality, aesthetic, and customs existing in the ancient capital Kyoto, is considered by people around the world to be an unprecedented event combining traditions and innovation. In the hope of passing down and further developing Japanese culture, this distinctive Kyoto event has been held since 1994, the 1200th anniversary of the transfer of the ancient capital of Japan to Kyoto.

TAKAMI BRIDAL carries out charity auctions as part of the “Nippon to Asobo” cultural activities, and amounts raised are donated to refugee assistance activities performed by UNHCR (Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) via “Japan for UNHCR” . The charity auction run during the 18th “Nippon to Asobo” event held in October 2011 raised total of 3.03 million yen, all of which was donated to UNHCR.

UNHCR is an UN-based organization assisting refugees, which commenced activities in 1951. The organization provides international protection, relief supplies, schooling and medicine to refugees and asylum seekers forced out of their own countries due to war or persecution. Refugee camps are constantly overcrowded with the continual influx of refugees, and food and water, and safe places to live

are constantly in supply. At present, 21 million refugees and asylum seekers worldwide require UNHCR assistance.

Participating in the Challenge 25 CampaignTAKAMI BRIDAL is participating in the Challenge 25 Campaign, a national project supported by the Ministry of the Environment. We are furthering efforts to prevent warming in the region through activities like tree planting on Kitayama Wedding Street.

“Candle Night” -support events-“Candle Night” is an environmental movement to encourage people to turn off their electricity and think about issues related to energy conservation, peace, and the environment. TAKAMI BRIDAL has been

promoting events at churches and facilities throughout Japan in support of this movement. They have been open to the public on midsummer and midwinter nights since 2003 to offer participants an opportunity to consider environmental issues and reflect on themselves in the glow of the candlelight. It is our hope that these events will enable participants to relax and spend special moments with their loved ones.
