Enclosed is the data provided by you for the above properties. Thank you for the tour of your Catherine/Skead property during May 9. The area of stripping provides interesting textures and other indicators of a possible base metal bearing environment, one of which Noranda will continue to assess . At the present it is Noranda's intention to commence data compilation for your property and the surrounding regional context It is expected that this shall be initiated within the next two weeks. Following this, our office will evaluate the results to determine what future actions may be warranted .
In regards to your McGarry claims, as discussed, we shall initiatE~ a review of the recently acquired Noranda land holdings in this sector (previously under the jurisdiction of our Timmin's district) prior to proceeding with other properties in the vicinity

The Sal~ claim in SE Catharine Township was visited on May 15, 1995 by Falconbridge contract geologists G. De Schutter and R. Murphy. The prolwrty is located in the south half of lot 2 Concession III NE comer of Catharine Township and is approximately 17 km south of Larder Lake (Figure 1). Road access can be gained v ia highway 624 south from Larder Lake and then old logging roads may be used to drive right up to the proper1y.
Property Position
A. Salo and ~ own approximately 20 contiguous claim units in the immediate area (A. Salo owns or is part owner of 250 claims in the greater Kirkland Lake region).
Geology and Previous Work
,I\ccording to geology maps (Ontario Division of Mines, Map 2205, the Timmins-Kirkland Lake Geological Compilation Series, OGS Preliminary Maps 886 and 2283 .. . ) the property is underlain by intermediate metavolcanic rocks , mainly pyroclastics complised of dacite and andesite. To date, S DOH's (K-S-l to K-S-5; total depth of 730 metres) have been drilled on the J. 1.-1) property or adjacent to the property on adjoining claims. Recent geophysical work done on the d ~) property includes magnetic, VLF-EM and HLEM surveys done during July and August of 1992. ,? Because the drilling has established the presence of intermediate calc alkalic fragmental ':lnd epiclastic volcanic rocks, the property should be considered to collStitute a base metals
~~unity. The character of the fragmental, epiciastic, and"sedimentaO'. deposits cored by the , current phase of drilling suggests a medial to distal volcanic depositional environment. Detailed
geological mapping and prospecting used in conjunction with suitable geophysical surveys (such as HLEM using a sufficie nt wil separation to penetrate the local overburden) would aid in loca ting additional driU targets. These wou ld w nsti tute higb priority exploration targe ts which ~
