Happy November to all of you! Since Thanksgiving is practically here, I want to let

all of you know how thankful I am for all of you and for the Senior Activity Center

of Smyrna. I am grateful that there is a place that provides all the activities and

programs for Seniors to take part, as well as a place for all of you to come in and

make new friends. I hope all of you have a blessed Thanksgiving as you celebrate

with family, friends or your favorite football game or parade that is televised on

Thanksgiving Day. I love you all and I love my job.

On Monday after Thanksgiving, we have 38 eager travelers who will be leaving for

our Christmas trip to Natchez, Mississippi with Jimmy the Cricket. We will have

our trip meeting on Tuesday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. so everyone who is going on

this trip needs to plan to attend this meeting to receive all kinds of useful

information from Jimmy the Cricket himself.

Originally, we had a cruise meeting scheduled for November 9 but Jo Ann Lynch is

unable to attend on this date. We will reschedule that meeting for January, 2022.

to attend this luncheon meeting but you must sign up in advance to attend. Space

will be limited and priority seating will be given to those who sign up by Tuesday,

December 7. Our entertainment for this event will be provided by “Pontiac Alley,”

a Nashville Duo comprised of traditional country power vocalist Chellanie and

Acoustic Rocker/Producer Ben Potter. They have been described as unique, fun

and upbeat with an acoustic Americana sound. They enjoy performing songs that

engage the audience with a positive message in a fun and entertaining manner.

The 50th Anniversary Committee is so proud of the events we have had to

celebrate this milestone in the life of the Senior Activity Center. Our events

events this year that you are invited to be a part of. Please mark your

calendar for the following dates:

Please bring the candy in by December 3. Prayers for all who are alone during the approaching Holiday Season.

This year, we also want to provide some much needed items for our area nursing

items. Please bring any of these new items to the Center by December 16.

Lap blankets, socks for men or women, warm gloves, hats or scarves, Kleenex
