Down t rain reversing on the down main line to ret urn to Set t le Junct ion. W hen the train arrives, the driver mustimmediately advise the signaller if it is complete with tail lamp.

Rule Book Module Pl, Sect ion 3 c lause 3.5.a) and Sect ion 6 c lause 6.2.b)- s ingle line work ing over the down mainline between Biea Moor and Garsdale or Kirkby Stephen. A handsignaller does not need to be appointed oppositeBlea Moor up home signal to control wrong direct ion up trains. Up trains may also be authorised to proceed without beingaccompanied by the pilotman. Drivers of up trains will be authorised by the pilotman to proceed to (and observe) thedown main line up direct ion signal, south of Blea Moor signal box.

NW9901 - GARGRAVE TO CARLISLE SOUTH M.Appleby North SB

Propelling of ECS t rains f rom the 'down & up' t hrough s iding to the down main line. T he signaller at Appleby Northsignal box is permitted to authorise [ CS trains to pass the shunt ing signal controlling the exit from the 'down & up throughsiding at danger in order to propel into the down platform. The train must not proceed outside the protect ion of the homesignal.

Water crane. Drivers using the water crane must be careful to leave the crane clear of the running lines and properlysecured after use.

NW9907 - WARCOP TO APPLEBYEntire Line Of Route

The t rain staff is kept by the Local Operat ions Manager, Appleby. T he line must not be used without the specificpermission of the Network Rail Area Operat ions Manager, Lancs & Cumbria.
