Studio Dumbar China is based in Shanghai and has an efficient and flexible team with 10 team members. The Studio is both working for Chinese clients and for Dutch and other Western organisations coming to explore the Chinese market and culture, in commerce, services and the arts. I appreciated the five years working at the studio in which I learnt a lot and grew con-siderably. Studio Dumbar China is headed by the excellent creative Dutch supervision that
1requires that all team members have capacity to conceptualise and finalise projects inde-pendently according to international design standards. More importantly, during the five years working at the studio, I began to reflect on my role and mission as a designer, to be specific, learning how to solve problems in my design process while retaining self-expression and an experimental spirit. The traditional Dutch design provides a kind of spirit and force which is most important to me.
2Wang Xu is a well-known Chinese graphic designer who established his studio in 1995. He is also a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) and an overseas member of Tokyo TDC. Currently, he is the executive director at OCT Art & Design Gallery in Shenzhen. After I graduated in 2004, I had the dream of working at the best Chinese graphic design studio and to be able to learn from the best designers. Undoubtedly, the decision became
an important starting point of my career. The studio is located in Guangdong Museum of Art, a perfect environment that provided me with training all aspects of visual design, including font design, layout design, book design, exhibition design, the printing process and branding. After working for WX-design for 3 years he recommended me to Studio Dumbar China.

I am a passionate and curious designer from China currently based in the Netherlands, with an interest in Condi-tional design, Responsive design in digital publishing and Digital typography. In 2015 I received my Master of Graphic Design from AKV|St.Joost in Breda, Netherlands. My design experience includes works which focus on branding, visual language experiments, colour theory, coding with Processing, and editorial design. By con-tinually reading and learning, I am able to use an interdisciplinary approach to inform my design practice. The world in my eye is a process of evolution and self organisation, context and interaction. I see myself as a supporter/collaborator in this system.
