Martin Luther King jr. Was born January 15, 1929.

His fathers name was Pastor Martin Luther King sr. at Ebenezer Baptist church.

His mothers name is Alberta King, She was a Preacher.

At age 10 in 1939 martin was an active member of his church choir.

In 1944 Martin was accepted More House University. In 1947 Martin was ordained a minister in his fathers church. In 1948 Martin graduated from college with arts in sociology,

then moving to theology. In 1953 Dr. King married Coretta Scott. In 1954 Dr. King became the pastor of the Dexter Avenue Baptist Church. In 1955 Dr. King obtained two separate bachelor degree’s as

well as a Doctor of Philosophy degree.

In 1956 The supreme court upheld the desegregation of buses.

In 1957 Dr. King helped establish the southern Christian leadership conference and became it’s president.

In 1963 Dr. King led a march in Birmingham, more than 250,000 marched from the Washinton D. C. monument to the Lincoln Memorial.

In 1964 Dr. King was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

In 1968 DR. King was assassinated.

Martin loved listening to his father preach. Martins Brothers name was Alfred and his sisters name

was Christine. Martin skipped two grades and graduated high school at

age 15. Martin encouraged people to register to vote and join the

N.A.A.C.P.

Dr. King successfully led the boycott of the busses, this task took a lot of responsibility that Dr. king showed.
