Fun tricks to help you remember!

Memory Tricks

+Memory Game

I will read 16 words.

When I finish, write down as many as you can remember.

+Memory Game

Now, give yourself a “1” for these words: pen, love, toast, basket, restaurant, dog,

pain, ask

Give yourself a “2” for these words: love, teacher, know, table, hungry,

notebook, find, went

How many “1”s?

How many “2”s?

+Memory Game

Did you have more 1’s than 2’s?

Our minds tend to remember the first few items in a series and the last few.

+Remembering for Tests

Read for no more than 30 min at one time.

Take 5 min breaks, get a drink, snack, stretch, get your blood moving

After 25 min of reading, review for a few minutes and then take the break.

1st learn the definition word for word (flashcards).
