Archive vs. Trash
ONLY FOLDERS in Gmail – All Mail & Trash Archiving messages is moving a message
into a filing cabinet instead of putting them in the trash. If someone replies to a message that has been
archived, it will reappear in your inbox. New emails are automatically in your
“ALL MAIL” folder but get labeled with INBOX.
Spam
Automatically helps by detecting viruses, finding patterns across messages, and learning from what Gmail users like you commonly mark as spam or phishing.
Some examples of what might be SPAM Spoofed email addresses Phishing scams Messages from an unconfirmed sender Messages you sent to Spam Blocked senders and similarity to suspicious messages Administrator-set policies Message content is empty You tried to unsubscribe from this sender
