Watershed Institute, Inc. has been identified as a quali-fied entity to provide certain on-call engineering services to the Kansas Department of Agriculture, Division of Conservation (DOC). Pursuant to its current “Agreement for On-Call Engineering Services” with Watershed Insti-tute, Inc., the Kansas Department of Agriculture, Divi-sion of Conservation issued an authorization to proceed on Contract No. SbPP-2018-3 for engineering design and construction oversight services on Site Nos. Notice Concerning Kansas/Federal Water Pollution Control Permits and Applications
In accordance with Kansas Administrative Regula-tions 28-16-57 through 63, 28-18-1 through 17, 28-18a-1 through 33, 28-16-150 through 154, 28-46-7, and the au-thority vested with the state by the administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, various draft water pollution control documents (permits, notices to revoke and reissue, notices to terminate) have been pre-pared and/or permit applications have been received for discharges to waters of the United States and the state of Kansas for the class of discharges described below.
The proposed actions concerning the draft documents are based on staff review, applying the appropriate stan-dards, regulations, and effluent limitations of the state of Kansas and the Environmental Protection Agency. Request for Letters of InterestThe Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT)
is seeking assistance in managing the overall Bridge Set-Aside/Bridge Preservation/Bridge Maintenance Program. The firm selected will assist KDOT BSGS in identifying, prioritizing, and scoping potential project structures. The consultant will also assist in writing request for proposals (RFPs) for the projects, establish projected lettings, establish timelines for plan reviews, maintain plan production schedules, review prelim-inary plan submittals, review shop drawings, and re-solve letting and construction related inquiries. The consultant will also be required to regularly update inspection and project data for use off site and archive project documents into the electronic bridge packets kept by BSGS. The consultant shall have an individual that is embedded in the KDOT BSGS office in Topeka five (5) days per week except for state holidays. The consultant shall train BSGS staff in the core competen-cies that is expected of this program.
