2. Introduction This PMS improvement will allow the link between the strategic plans and operational plans for

the entity within Bayanati. The reason for this improvement is to automate the objectives of each

job, including the special jobs, based on documented objectives in line with inputs from the

strategic and operational plans for the projects and initiatives planned to be executed within the

different departments/divisions at the entities using Bayanati.

The objective of this improvement is to:

Automate the objectives for each job in an organized, structured, and simplified manner

within PMS by permitting the extraction and use of special jobs’s objectives from the

operational plans of the Federal entities using Bayanati.

Improve the quality of the PMS application for the Federal entities using Bayanati, by

ensuring the creation of precise objectives rather than depending on manual entry by

users.

Permit the dependency on documented objectives in line with inputs from the strategic

and operational plans for the projects and initiatives that are being executed within the

different departments/divisions at the entities using Bayanati.

A set of new screens have been developed into the system to support the procedure of creating

strategic and operational plans:

Screen to enter the strategic plan by entering the details of the strategic plan or

uploading the details of the plan.

Screen to enter the operational plan by entering the details of the operational plan or

uploading the details of the plan.

Screen to insert the objectives from the operational plan in the employee performance

management screen.




3. Creating the operational and strategic plans

A. Entering the Strategic Plan

Login to Bayanati

Choose the PMS Administrator then Strategic and Operational Plan Setting and click

on Strategic Plan.

The screen to add a strategic plan is displayed:

Clisk on the Add button to initiate the creation of a strategic plan by entering the main information.




After entering the main information of the strategic plan and saving it, the user should enter the remaining details of the strategic plan by clicking on the details button.

The below image displays the strategic plan. Click on Add to re-open the data entry screen.

The data entry screen will open, through which the objectives are entered consecutively and by

clicking Apply or Apply and Add Another as per the number of objectives.




The entered objectives and initiatives are then listed in the fields of the strategic plan.

B. Uploading the Strategic Plan

Login to Bayanati


on Upload Strategic Plan.




Click to open the file.

The file will be opened in MS Excel.

The relevant details will be displayed.




The relevant details will be displayed.

Export the data by following the below steps




C. Creating the Operational Plan

Login to Bayanati


on Create Operational Plan.

Note: the same steps will be followed as when creating the strategic plan.




After clicking Next the details of the plan will be displayed.

Click on Add to fill the details of the operational plan and click on Apply.




D. Uploading the Operational Plan

Login to Bayanati


on Upload Operational Plan.

Note: the same steps will be followed as when uploading the strategic plan.




E. Objective Setting within the Employee’s Performance In the objective setting screen: Choose the PMS Self-Service Enter the performance management screen. Choose the performance phase and update the appraisal.

Click on the copy button to insert the objectives from the strategic and operational plans.

Choose the KPI as the objective and click on choose.
