የላቦራቶር ፍተሻ፡ የአንድን ምርት/አገልግሎት ጥራት ባህሪያት ፊዚካላዊና ኬሚካላዊ የፍተሻ ዘዴዎች በመጠቀም ምርቶች/አገልግሎቶች የሚፈለግባቸውን የጥራት ደረጃ መስፈርት ማሟላታቸውን ለማረጋገጥ የሚከናወን ሂደት ነው፡፡

ተስማሚነት ምዘና - Conformity Assessment

The main forms of conformity assessment are testing, inspection and certification.

Laboratory Testing:- is determination of products or services quality features by means of physical & chemical testing to check if it complies or performs in accordance with the specified requirements.

Inspection:- is checking of products design, Products, Services and Manufacturing processes to ensure their conformity with specific requirement.

Certification:- is a third party license given for a Product, Service, System and persons after proving their conformance with the specified requirements.

ተስማሚነት ምዘና ምንድነው?ተስማሚነት ምዘና ማለት ምርቶች፣ አገልግሎቶች፣ ቁሶች፣ የአሰራር ስርዓቶች እና ሙያተኞች ከተቀመጠላቸው ደረጃ፣ የጥራት መስፈርት ወይም የቴክኒክ ደንብ እና ሌሎች መመዘኛዎች መሠረት ተስማሚ መሆናቸው ወይም ጠቀሜታ ላይ መዋላቸውን መዝኖ ወይም ገምግሞ የሚረጋገጥበት የአሰራር ሥርዓት ነው፡፡

በተስማሚነት ምዘና ሂደት ውስጥ ማለፍ በርካታ ጠቀሜታዎች አሉት፡፡

ለሸማች፡ በሚከፍለው ዋጋ ጥራት ያለው ምርት/አገልግሎት እንደሚያገኝ እምነት በማሳደር የተሻለ የግዢ ውሳኔዎችን ለመወሰን ያስችለዋል፡፡

ለአምራቹ፡ ፍትሃዊ የውድድር መስክ እንዲኖር በመመቻቸት የተወዳዳሪነት መንፈሱን ያጎለብታል፡፡

ስለ ኢተምድኢተምድ በጥር ወር 2003 ዓ.ም በሚኒስትሮች ምክር ቤት ደንብ ቁጥር 196/2003 በፌደራል ደረጃ የመንግስት የልማት ድርጅት ሆኖ የተስማሚነት ምዘና አገልግሎቶችን ለመስጠት ተቋቁሟል፡፡ የድርጅቱ ተቆጣጣሪ ባለስልጣን የኢ.ፌ.ዴ.ሪ የሳይንስና ቴክኖሎጂ ሚኒስቴር ነው፡፡

ኢተምድ በዋነኝነት የተስማሚነት ምዘና አገልግሎቶችን ማለትም የላቦራቶር ፍተሻ፣ የኢንስፔክሽንና የሰርቲፊኬሽን አገልግሎት የሚሰጥ ሲሆን በስሩ ከ180 በላይ ሰራተኞችን ይዞ በ9 ቅርንጫፍ ጽ/ቤቶች በመላው ሀገሪቱ በማደራጀት እየሰራ የሚገኝ ድርጅት ነው፡፡

ECAE is the major conformity Assessment body providing testing, inspection and certification services with over 180 employs and operating in more than 9 branch offices throughout the country.

ECAE gives the license after proving product conformance or the capability of the applicant to produce products that consistently conform to the applicable customer and regulatory requirements as specified in the appropriate standard and strives to achieve quality goods/services throughout the country.

Inspecting the merchandise when it is packed and ready for shipment by pulling out random samples based on international sampling techniques verifying quantity, function, color, size, specifications, labeling details to make sure that requirements are met.
