This incident had brought a psychological trauma on the mind of Poonam, who committed suicide just two three days after the death of Om Prakesh in their native village in Rajasthan. Laxman further told that his elder son Surender was quite disturbed due to untimely death of his younger brother and used to tell that his chacha Suresh is responsible for same. The brother of deceased Rohtash and his relative Umesh, who is brother-in-law of his elder brother Daya Ram reached the spot and identified the dead body. On the statement of Rohtash, a case vide FIR No. 303/12 u/s 302/201 IPC, PS Malviya Nagar was registered and investigation was taken up. INVESTIGATION :

In view of the gravity of the offence, a team comprising Inspr. Kuldeep Singh, Inspr. Arvind Kumar, SI Narender, SI Ashok, HC Manoj, HC Netra Pal, Ct. Ram Chander, Ct. Shishupal and Ct. Ram Prasad, headed by Inspr. During investigation, the team traced one Kailash S/o Puran Lal R/o S-82/62A, Jagdamba Camp, who informed that he had seen Surender (deceased’s nephew) who was taking deceased Suresh with him around 1 AM in the deceased’s white Indica Taxi.            Enquiries made from Laxman (father of accused Surender), who told that they are four brothers namely Daya Ram, Suresh, Naresh and Rohtash.  His brother Suresh was tourist taxi operator and was running his own taxi and used to park the same near Triveni Complex. Both the brothers stayed in the same locality i.e. Jagadamba Camp, Malviaya Nagar. One of his brother namely Naresh has already expired about 6 years ago.  He further told that Naresh’s wife Savita started living with Suresh, the deceased. Due to the above matrix, equation of married life of Suresh and his first wife Poonam changed drastically and Poonam started feeling ignored.  She slowly developed an intimacy with the younger son of Laxman namely Om Prakash, as both the families were residing in the same locality in Jagdamba Camp.            Due to these developments there was tension between the families and to sort out the issue, an internal family meeting was held. During meeting, the family members asked Om Prakash to stay away from Poonam and sever all kind of relationship. Despite that, both continued to meet each other clandestinely. This led to the infighting between the brothers family. In 2009, younger brother of accused had committed suicide. Ever since he had strong feeling that Suresh is solely responsible for this distress in the family and used to discuss the same in the family.             On 27.07.12 during night, his brother Suresh came to his juggi. Both the brothers had consumed liquor till late in the night and Suresh was sharing his mental agony over the losses, which he suffered in the past due to arrest by Punjab Police in a drug trafficking case in the year 2009. i.e. clutch wire recovered. INCIDENT:           On 27/07/12 at about 06.30 AM., information regarding a dead body on the road opposite C-1 Block, Sheikh Sarai-I, near garbage house was received. Immediately, local police staff from PS Malviya Nagar rushed to the spot and found that the dead body of a male, aged about 35 years was lying at the spot. Later, the deceased was identified as Suresh Singh s/o late Phool Singh R/o C-294, 1st Floor, Chirag Delhi, New Delhi.  On verification, it was found that there wee strangulation marks on the neck at left side and there were bruises on the left foot, which suggested that the dead body was dragged and dumped on the garbage heap. INVESTIGATION :           In view of the gravity of the offence, a team comprising Inspr. Kuldeep Singh, Inspr. Arvind Kumar, SI Narender, SI Ashok, HC Manoj, HC Netra Pal, Ct. Ram Chander, Ct. Shishupal and Ct. Ram Prasad, headed by Inspr. Atul Kumar, SHO/ Malviya Nagar was constituted.  During the course of investigation, enquiries made from the various persons in the vicinity and relatives of the deceased to get the clue and motive of murder. Due to the above matrix, equation of married life of Suresh and his first wife Poonam changed drastically and Poonam started

feeling ignored. When Laxman called his wife, accused came to know about the presence of deceased and came to Jgadamba Camp. On the pretext of dropping his Chacha Suresh, he asked his father to go home. After this information Surender emerged as prime suspect and intensive hunt to locate him was started.  Finally, the team apprehended him near Gate No. 6, Sheikh Sarai (Phase-I) at 06.30 PM.  INTERROGATION :           During interrogation, accused Surender confessed the crime and disclosed that he had killed his Chacha Suresh in the car by strangulating his neck with the help of clutch wire.
