TRAFFIC INCIDENT MANAGEMENT

Integrated process of safely managing highway incidents to reduce congestion and secondary

crashes while ensuring the safety of Emergency Responders.

For each minute that a single lane is closed, four minutes of delay occurs.

FACT:

A single lane blockage on a 3 lane interstate reduces the capacity of the roadway by 49%.

Spill Mitigation Policy

Provides incentives to towing companies who respond and clear incidents involving types of vehicles that are beyond the recovery capabilities of light and medium-duty rotation towing providers

Rapid Incident Scene Clearance (RISC)

Plus $1,000 bonus if additional

equipment is used
