Day 3: Monday 8th October 2OL2BUENOS AIRES

BtrIToday we will enjoy a full day Gaucho experience ata typical ranch ("Estancia"). We will be able to enjoya horse ride or cart ride, wander through the historichomestead museum and enjoy a "regional barbecue"lunch. We will be entertained by a show showcasingSouth American folk music and dance. The Gauchoswill also demonstrate their skills. We will then return toBuenos Aires where dinner is at your own choice andcost.

Day 4: Tuesday 9th October 2OL2BUENOS AIRES - IGUMU

This morning we will be transferred to the airport forthe short flight to lguazu Falls. On arrival we will betransferred to our hotel, the 5 star Sheraton lguazu, theonly hotel located within the Park. From here our guidewill introduce us to the amazing National Park. Keepyour eyes out for tucans and monkeys and perhaps anelusive puma? ln the afternoon you will have time toexplore this natural wonderland before returningto ourhotel where will enjoy dinner together.

Day 6: Thursday 11th Octobet 2OL2BUENOS AIRES - SANTIAGO

This morning we fly back into Santiago, where we willbe met and transferred to our hotel, before enjoyingan afternoon City Tour. On this tour we will exploreboth historic and modern sights of Santiago de Chile,including Plaza de Armas, Santa Lucia Hill, the SeafoodMarket. Following our tour we will return to our hotel andenjoy dinner together.

Day 7: Friday 12th October 2Ot2SANTIAGO - I.A PAZ

EIDAfter breakfast we will enjoy some free time before weare transferred to the airport for our flight north to La

Paz, the highest commercial airport in the world. On

arrival we will be transferred to our hotel where we willspend the next three nights so that we can acclimatiseto the higher altitudes. Tonisht we will enjoy dinnertogether.

Day 8: Saturday 13th Octobet 2OL2I.A PAz - AT LEISURE

Btr]Today will be a day at leisure. You may want to enjoy anopen-top bus city tour, or visit the markets or just wanderor relax. We will enjoy dinner together at the hotel.

Day 10: Monday 15th Ostober 2OL2I.A PAz - PUNOBtrE ffimq;!}Our journey today will have us crossing from Bolivia intoPeru - our first stop is Huatajata. We will visit the AndeanRoots Eco Village including replicas of the 'chullpas'or burialtowers, and then to Sun lsland. Lunch will beenjoyed atthe panoramic Uma Kollu restaurant. Nextwe cruise to Moon lsland to visit the 'lnak Uyu' SunVirgin's temple one of Lake Titicaca's most importantarchaeological sites. Finally we cruise to the ancientshrine of Copacabana to visit its church and its famous'Dark Madonna' before we leave for Puno. Tonight we willenjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day LL: Tuesday 16th October 2OL2PUNO

EttttrOur excursion by boat starts with a visit to the floatingreed lslands of the Uros lndians followed by lunch onTaquile lsland. Here, the indigenous community hasconserved across the centuries many of the customsof the old lake population. Men can be seen knitting,women weavingtraditional clothes, which are amongstPeru's most beautiful. We will then return to the hotelbefore enjoying some of the local cuisine and culture ata local restaurant.

Day L2: Wednesday 17th October 2OL2PUNO - CUSCO

ututrlToday, our spectacular and luxurious railjourney onthe Orient Express begins in Puno and travels north toCusco. This classic train journey, recently voted 'one of

the top ten railway journeys of the world', cuts across theformidable Peruvian Altiplano. The journey is dominatedby the magnificent Andean mountains and rollingAndean Plains, where vicufra and alpaca can be seen.The glass-walled observation car provides the perfectopportunity to view the beautiful scenery. The journey isbroken by a scenic stop at La Raya, the highest point onthe route. A three-course lunch will be served on boardand you will be entertained by local artists. This is a trulymemorable experience! Upon arrival in Cusco we will betransferred to our hotel.

Day 13: Thursday 18th October 2OL2CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY

tsI'EThis morning we drive to the Sacred Valley of the lnca,where we will visitthe colourful Pisaq Markets wherepeople from remote communities dressed in theirtraditional attires meet to market and barter theirproducts. Following lunch we will drive to Ollantaytambo,site of the Temple of the Sun and the Terrace of the TenNiches. On our way to our hotel, we will stop at "Chicha"house, and you can see for yourself how the locals makethis drink from the abundant corn that grows in thevalley. Tonight we will enjoy dinner together at the hotel.

Day L4: Friday 19th Octobet 2OL2SACRED VALLEY - MAGHU PICCHU

BIUE]This morning from Ollanta train station we willexperience a !1/zhour train ride that willtake usalongside the Urubamba River up to Aguas Calientes(home of Machu Picchu). The uniqueness of its locationand the genius that went into its construction make thislnca archaeological site truly one of the great wondersof the world. We will enjoy a buffet lunch in the MachuPicchu Sanctuary Lodge before returning to AguasCalientes for dinner together in the hotel.

comprehensive afternoon tour including the beautifulKoricancha or Sun Temple, the Cathedral as well as theFortress of Sacsayhuaman, a most remarkable lncabuilding, the amphitheatre of Kenko. This is followedby a visit to Puca Pucara, a strategically located 'red

fortress' that dominates the entire area, before visitingTambomachay, with its two distinctive aqueducts that tothis day continue to provide clean water to the area.
