Founded in 1899, the Conservatory is southeast Wisconsin’s premier provider of music education. We offer instruction in all instruments and voice, from classical to popular styles. Our students are aged four months to senior citizen, beginner to professional. Our

world-class concert series celebrates multiple music genres performed by an exciting roster of local and guest artists. We are your nationally recognized community music school!

Milwaukee has 63 neighborhood play areas and green spaces that provide safe and imagi-native recreation opportunities for the city’s children and families. The first of these sites was developed over 50 years ago.

With your help we can continue to provide safe recreation areas, working with neighborhood

organizations on future play area improvements, counter vandalism, and make the play areas a focal point for the neighborhood.

The United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) is a nonprofit umbrella organization that supports performing arts groups in Southeastern Wisconsin through its annual fundraising campaign. The performing arts enrich our souls, educate our children and promote true prosperity – they are a pillar of our rich cultural landscape and community. UPAF provides essential

operating funds that are a vital support system for the success of these performing arts organizations, allowing them to focus more of their efforts on what they do best – creating, performing, inspiring and educating.

• UPAF Member Groups produce more than 2,000 performances of live music, theatre and dance each year.

• The performing arts employ 6,000 individuals in our community, generating nearly $100 million in annual wages.

• Arts education programs funded by UPAF’s Arts Education Grant Program serve nearly 90,000 area students each year.

The city is famous for its trees and landscape plantings, which cool and cleanse the air we breathe and architecturally enhance our homes and business places, making this a quality environment in which to live.

Maintaining this environment requires that people participate in the planting, care, and protection of the green space around them.

Your donation will be used to encourage beautification projects and to promote edu-cational and cooperative programs involving neighborhood groups, business organizations, and schoolchildren, such as the Greening Milwaukee Schools Initiative. This effort involves the removal of asphalt on playgrounds, the planting of trees, and the creation of green space in an effort to abate storm-water runoff and provide a healthier environment at Milwaukee Public Schools.

The Milwaukee Housing Trust Fund provides grants and loans for the construction, reha-bilitation, and accessibility modification of affordable housing for low- to moderate-income households.

Since 2007, the Housing Trust Fund has provided $3 million in grants and

loans, leveraging more than $62 million in additional funding sources and generating 421 housing units that would not have been produced without this vital funding source. The primary focus of the Housing Trust Fund is to provide funding for supportive housing for the homeless. More than half of the Housing Trust Fund’s project allocations have gone toward housing for the homeless, making up more than half of the units produced to date.

Contributions will help these efforts continue by providing funding for future projects that address the needs of housing for the homeless as well as affordable rental and home-ownership opportunities. Please help to continue and grow these positive efforts, which address some of the community’s most vital housing needs.
