From Mayor BarrettPlease join me in supporting Milwaukee’s nationally recognized arts community by making a contribution to the 2017 United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF)/Visions campaign.

We are proud of the role of the arts in our city. Local arts organizations have helped make Mil-waukee a creative and vibrant community that we can all be proud to call home.

Your donations to the UPAF/ Visions campaign provide vital support to these organizations, as well as to libraries, parks and neighborhoods.

Please take this opportunity to ensure that Milwaukee’s arts organizations have the funding to continue to provide the diverse, world-class entertainment that makes our city a great place to work, live and visit by donating to the 2017 UPAF/Visions campaign.

Let the Milwaukee Public Museum show you how amazing learning can be. Journey through Africa. Trek the rainforest of Costa Rica. Explore the land of dinosaurs. Be transfixed by a live butterfly. Discover our world.

Enter the Milwaukee Public Museum and witness natural wonders, cultures, and

scientific discovery millions of years in the making. Nearly 500,000 children, educators, scientists, and families turn to the museum to see science and history come alive each year. The more they see, the more they learn—about their community, about themselves, about how we can work together to improve our city and our world.

As a Member, you will support these efforts, while giving yourself all the benefits of MPM membership: FREE admission to the Museum and Planetarium, members-only events, discounts on theater tickets, and much more!

The Milwaukee Arts Board was created to enhance the development, cultural diversity, and accessi-bility of the arts—for the enjoyment of its citizens and as an investment in the city’s arts industry.

The Board supports arts organizations by funding innovative programs and projects and making them accessible to the public. The MAB also provides

financial support for public art projects that provide a sense of place and bring the community together in neighborhoods, parks, and public spaces.

The investment made by the Milwaukee Arts Board enables artists to work with children, takes performances to neigh-borhood centers, enhances the built en-vironment, and contributes to the image and spirit of Milwaukee. The return on the investment is a healthy, vibrant, and growing creative community.

The Milwaukee Housing Trust Fund provides grants and loans for the construction, reha-bilitation, and accessibility modification of affordable housing for low- to moderate-income households.

Since 2007, the Housing Trust Fund has provided $3 million in grants and

loans, leveraging more than $62 million in additional funding sources and generating 421 housing units that would not have been produced without this vital funding source. The primary focus of the Housing Trust Fund is to provide funding for supportive housing for the homeless. More than half of the Housing Trust Fund’s project allocations have gone toward housing for the homeless, making up more than half of the units produced to date.

Contributions will help these efforts continue by providing funding for future projects that address the needs of housing for the homeless as well as affordable rental and home-ownership opportunities. Please help to continue and grow these positive efforts, which address some of the community’s most vital housing needs.

Please consider supporting the Housing Trust Fund.
