Attention OCOD Members: Important Information about our Training Center

!We were recently informed that the property owners of the shopping center (Derby

Plaza) that houses our training center is selling each of the condo units by creating a

business condo arrangement. OCOD has been given the opportunity to purchase the

space we currently lease. There are still many questions we need to ask and calculating

that needs to be done but the preliminary figures look promising.

We all enjoy the high quality training experience of an in-door, air conditioned space. And

the size of the space we have is almost unheard of among dog clubs. If we do not

purchase our unit, it will be sold to someone else eventually and they could decide to not

renew our lease.

We also know there are few places that welcome dogs and even fewer that welcome

dogs that we can afford. This is likely to be our only opportunity to fulfil the dream of

many of our members and own a building of our own.

Important information will be shared and discussed during the September and October

meetings and we must reach a decision and vote soon. All interested members are

urged to attention the membership meetings held on the 2nd Monday of each month.

OCOD Public Education Chair
