Message From The Chairman.....Look around for the wondrous things

A young man and his girlfriend got married. It was a grand celebration. All of their friends andfamilies assembled to watch the pleasant ceremony and to participate in festivities Everyone

had a truly delightful time. The bride was captivating in her white wedding gown and thegroom was very vivacious in his black tuxedo. Everyone admitted that it was a perfect

match. A fewmonths later, the wife comes to the husband with a proposal: “I read in amagazine, a while ago, about how we can further strengthen our marriage,” she mootedat the outset. “Each of us will note down a list of the things that we find a bit unpleasantwith the other person. Then, we can talk about how we can fix them together and makeour lives happier together,” she proposed.The husband agreed, so each of them wentto a separate room in the house and thought of the things that disturbed them aboutthe other. They continued to think about this question for the whole day and noteddown what came up in the mind. The next morning, at the breakfast table, they decidedthat they would review their lists.“Let me start with my list,” offered the wife. Shetook out her list. It had many items on it enough to fill three pages, in fact. As shestarted reading the list of the minor annoyances, she noticed that tears were startingto appear in her husband’s eyes. “What’s wrong with you?” she asked. “Nothing” thehusband replied, “you may go ahead with your list.” The wife continued to read until

she had completed all the three pages. She then placed her list on the table and foldedher hands on top of it “Now, you read your list and then we’ll talk about the things onboth of our lists,” she said with a sense of achievement.Quietly the husband stated in alow voice “I don’t have anything on my list. I think that you are perfect the way that youare. I don’t want you to change anything about you for my sake.You are lovely and

wonderful and I wouldn’t dream to try and change anything about you”, he asserted. Thewife, touched by his candidness and the depth of his love for her and his acceptance of herin total, turned her head and started weeping.In life, there are enough times when we aredisappointed, depressed and annoyed. We don’t really have to go looking for them.We

have a wonderful world that is full of beauty, light and promise. Why waste time in this worldlooking for the bad, disappointing, disturbing or annoying when we can look around us, and

see the wondrous things before us? Always remember that you can never find a perfectpartner to love you the way you wanted, only a person who is willing to love you more thanwhat you are. Someone who will accept you for what you can and can’t be. And that is even

Awareness-Cum Motivational camp on MSME at Synergy,BhubaneswarAwareness-Cum-Motivational camp on MSME was held at SIT, BBSR on 28th of Sept.2018.Principal(I/C)  Dr.J.Rout  gave the welcome address. The guests present on the occasion were Joint Directorof Industries and G.M Mr.Nirakar Mishra ,OIS(I), Govt. of Odisha. and Faculty and coordinatorEasteren region of EDI of India Dr. Chita ranjan Pattanaik . They focused on the role of MSME onEconomic development and motivated the students to become Entrepreneurs. The program was was coordinated and vote of thanks was given by CMA. (Dr).C.R.Satpathy.

A 3 day Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp in association with Entrepreneurship DevelopmentInstitute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad under DST-NIMAT Project 2018-19 was organized byDepartment of Management from 26-28 Sept. 2018. Mr. Debabrata Jena, GM, RIC, Dhenkanal wasthe Chief Guest on the occasion. Mr. S.K.Rath, Asst. Director, MSME-DI, Cuttack was the ChiefSpeaker of the event. Shri Surendranath Panda, Chairman, Jai Bharat Spices Pvt.Ltd and ShriDeben Ray, MD, Odi-Ray Industries graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. Other notableguests present on the occasion were Shri Harshabardhan Singhdeo, Proprietor, SOM AUTO, ShriSushant Kumar Sahoo, Deputy Vice-President, Axis bank, Shri Pradeepta Tripathy, Proprietor, MaaDairy Products, Shri BInod Dash, Chairman, SIET, Dhenkanal and Dr. Itishree Mohanty, Principal,SIET, Dhenkanal. On 28th Sept. 2018, an Industrial visit to Odi-Ray Industries was arranged for theparticipants. The objective of the Awareness Camp was to create awareness among the buddingengineers about the importance of entrepreneurship and motivate them to become Job-Giversrather than being Job-Seekers.

Entrepreneuship Camp at Synergy, Dhenkanal

A one day seminar was organized by Civil Engineering Department of Synergy Dhenkanal on25.07.2018 on the topic ‘’World of Cement & Concrete’’ in which Mr. Rajanikant Sarangi RegionalManager Dalmia Cement & Construction delivered a lecture on basics of cement & its versatileapplication and classification in modern construction projects & also briefed about Green cement,the byproduct of which has low CO2 emission & reduces which is environmental friendly duringthese days of Global warming.

Seminar on “Neuro Linguistic Program(NLP)” at Synergy,DhenkanalA one day seminar was organized by the department of Computer Science and Engineering on20.7.2018 on “Neuro linguistic Programming (NLP) and controlling the mind”. Mr. Sangram KeshariVice President Marketing of IMI Precision Engineering, New Delhi delivered a talk. Mr. Keshariemphasized personal endeavour is a product of invested values and aspirations and the dismissalof personally significant failure as mere feedback effectively denigrates what one values. NLP alsoinvolves fringe discourse analysis and “practical” guidelines for “improved” communication. Forexample, one text asserts “when you adopt the “but” word, people will remember what you saidafterwards.

Swachhata Pakhwada programme, 2018 was conducted in Synergy Institute of Technology,Bhubaneswar from 17th to24th of September 2018.Different activities like plantation of saplings,campus cleaning, outside campus cleaning, observation of clean hostel day, clean mess day,Essay writing competition ,Elocution contest etc. were held under this programme. says, there is no mountain like TheHimalays for in it is Kailash. The pilgrimage path

purifies the heart as the journey has a transformativepower and the “soul is enraptured feasted and fed” after the

tremendous hardships of the journey. One feels as if one is in heavenupon earth when one reaches there.

Regarded as the brain child of Brahma. Mansarovar is the oldest lake known tomankind and is stretched around 120kms. It is also believed that the water of the lake

is most pure on the earth. The crystal clear lake along with its beaches covered withwhite sands and beautiful pebbles creates a soothing harmony and resonance which is unique inthe world. During morning the water mirrors beautiful blue colour. The Tibetans do not put theirfeet in the Manas water. They consider the water so sacred ! It is also believed that a monk is acollection of water from Manas. Kailash Mansarovar is regarded as one of the holiest of holyshrines in Budisim, Jainisim and Hinduisim.

Our chairman & Managing Trustee, Sri Binod Dash went on a pilgrimage with family to KailashManosarvar in the Month of August 2018.(21.08.2018 to 02.09.2018).

5 students of Rochester University, USA (David Velkin of Russia, Danny Pascoia ofUSA, Emili Gourbat of USA, Linour Telt of Portugal, Nuigain of Vietnam) visited DPSDhenkanal on 23rd August, 2018 . They shared their experiences with the students ofClasses VI to XI. Some students of Classes VII & VIII performed the Odishi andSambalpuri Dance which they enjoyed a lot and also joined the students.

DPS Dhenkanal held a condolence meeting on the sad demise of former PM Atal BihariVajpayee on 17.08.18. All the staff members gathered in the lobby to express theirhonour and respect for the departed soul. They kept two minutes of silence and offeredflowers to offer their gratitude for the immortal soul. Mr. Jagneswar Bora the Principalof DPS Dhenkanal threw light on the contribution and sacrifice of former PM for thebetterment of his country and countrymen.

Pink Day at Delhi Public School, Dhenkanal

Van Mahotsav at Delhi Public School, DhenkanalIn an earnest attempt to lend a green touch to the school environment and sensitize thestudents about their role in conserving it, Delhi Public School, Dhenkanal celebratedVan Mahotsav Day on 7th July 2018 in the school campus. A special assembly wasconducted on the topic “Van Mahotsav”. The celebration was an ideal opportunity toinstill the value of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees andforests. The students of Std-VI toVIII participated in the plantation programme whereindifferent kinds of plants were planted by the school principal, teachers and other staffmembers.

The Pre-Primary wing of DPS DHENKANAL celebrated PINK DAY on 21st July 2018.It was wonderful to see our children bloom and blossom in different shade of pink.The aim of celebrating colour day is to make the young ones identify the colour of theobjects they see around them. Children as well as teachers were dressed in dazzlingpink coloured attires. The atmosphere was very enthralling to see the excitment of thetiny toddlers who enjoyed the day throughly and it was a day to remember for every-body present on the occasion.

On 25th August, 2018 students of Class V went to Maharshi Dayananda SaraswatiMission, The Orphanage of Dhenkanal for tying Rakshis to the young children, whichthe students of DPS Dhenkanal had made on their own through which they wanted toconvey that they are their brothers and sisters.

DPS Dhenkanal celebrated the National Sports Day on 29th August 2018 in its schoolpremises with great spirit and enthusiasm. To mark the birthday of legend DhyanChand, this day is celebrated all over India as a tribute to his extraordinary contributionin the field of hockey. The students of DPS Dhenkanal participated in a rally from mainstadium to Baji Chowk which was organised by Sports Authority of India, TrainingCentre Dhenkanal. On their return the students joined the special assembly in theschool to commemorate the huge achievementof legendary Dhyan Chand. The studentsof class X enacted one skit regarding the importance of organizing para Olympics forthe disabled. The players of District Hockey Association were invited to the school toexhibit a hockey match to add flavour to the occasion.

Teachers Day in DPS Dhenkanal was celebrated on 5th September, 2018 by all thestudents from play to XI . The students of Std. XI acted like teachers and went to theclasses assigned to them.Some eminent retired teachers of Dhenkanal District SriSatyapriya Mohanty, Mrs. Kunimani Devi and Mrs Bijalaxmi Devi had been invited asguests. They addressed the students as well as the teachers on this special and piousday. The  teachers  acted as students and conducted a special assembly.The  teacherswere invited for a grand programme organised by students of class VI to XI.
