INSURANCE
We recognize the significant value you have in your personal belongings including furniture, wardrobe,
audio-visual equipment and other personal effects. However, many residents mistakenly assume their
Owner/Landlord is responsible for the security of their personal property. This is not the case.
There are a number of good reasons to obtain renter’s insurance beyond damage to your personal belongings,
consider:
• Your home is burglarized
• You may be liable if you are the cause of a fire or flood that damages your rental home
• You may be liable if a guest is injured in your rental home
Insurance is important!
I have read this notice and the segment in my lease which stresses the importance of obtaining rental
insurance. I realize I may obtain insurance from the agent and/or company of my choice.

UTILITY TRANSFER AGREEMENT

I/We further understand that this responsibility will continue throughout the term of my Lease Agreement (move out date). Should utilities NOT be transferred from the owner/landlord’s name into my name as of the date of move in, I understand that I will incur an additional charge of $15.00 per day (in addition to the actual utility bill) as a penalty until such time as utilities are transferred into my name. This penalty fee will be due and payable on the first day of the month following move in date.
