The story is set in Ayanagi City that faces the Japan Sea. The newly built futuristic metropolis has recovered from a disaster called“ simultaneous apathy syndrome” which attacked the citizen ten years ago.

Shin Kanzato (17 years old), a high school student, and his brother Jun (14) see his elder brother Ryo (28), a young inspector of the PD, for the first time in ten years.

Meanwhile, strange incidents are happening in Ayanagi City - the crew mysteriously and suddenly disappears from a diving boat, and people start suffering from apathy syndrome again after an interval of ten years. The story takes place in the future on Earth... For over couple hundred years, people have been living quietly underground. A mysterious group of high-school kids called "Blade Children" comes into Ayumu Narumi's life, and challenges him with mystery games that require wisdom and courage to survive. While battling against the Blade Children, Ayumu discovers that his brother Kiyotaka, who had disappeared many years before, is heavily involved with this radical group. The story progresses with two main themes; why Kiyotaka has vanished from Ayumu's life and the mystery of the Blade Children.

The Earth is dying -- The air has been polluted, the nature has been destroyed, the ground has been poisoned and fish have disappeared from the sea. Humans are struggling and trying any possible measures to save the planet during the so-called “S.D. era”. The “Special Government System” has been established to control all life forms in the society where humans are forced to work like machine under computers’ control. Far away from the earth, there are people who have been excluded from the society because of their special power. These people are called “Mu.” If they are found on the earth, they are killed immediately because they are thought to be dangerous to the society. They hide their power from the government, and think to themselves who they really are and why they exist, and what the real purpose of the earth system is. Although humans avoid Mu people, they would like humans to recognize their existence. And they would like to step on the ground of their homeland, the earth…. Their strong desire drives them to embark on a journey to the earth.

Once upon a time when brave men, knight and wizard were still active, there was a monarchy called “Popolo Crois”. The king of Popolo Crois married Sania, who was from a family of dragon, a different family from that of the king’s. The main character is their child, Pietro. Pietro is different from anyone in his kingdom because he has some traits of the dragon. One day, a girl from a family of wind accidentally comes to Popolo Crois and takes away Pietro’s dragon-power. The story is set in "Karakuri Oedo", a fantasic world with dream, desire and contraption. Karakuri Oedo is a world developed from the Edo period where the samurai used to live. The hero, "Zenmai Zamurai" is a samurai with a spring on his head. He used to be a little, timid thief boy in his pre-existence, named "Zennosuke". However, by chance, he happens to drop into the old well and has wandered between the land of the living and the dead for a while. Then, he is endowed with a new life by "God of Happiness". He is born again in this world, but he could only live when his spring is turning... Like this, Zenmai Zamurai is obliged to do his good deed for the day. With a little probationary ninja, Mamemaru, Zenmai Zamurai rustles around to do a lot of good in Karakuri Oedo town! There appear a lot of other unique characters like a heroine, "Zukin-chan", and Zenmai Zamurai's rival, "Namezaemon" in the story. Everybody all over the world will love this Karakuri Oedo world.
