APPLICATIONS

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business programme accepts a wide range of advanced standing qualifications.

These include:• Diploma in Business, Management, Accountancy, Banking, Finance, Industrial Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related fields• Business and IT diploma/advanced diploma awarded by Kaplan Higher Education Academy• ACCA, CAT (subject to university’s approval)• Applicants holding other diploma-level qualifications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis

Additional entry requirement:• Applicants should either possess a diploma from a recognised institution where English is the sole medium of instruction OR• IELTS of 6.5 OR• TOEFL of 600 (or 250 in the computer based test) Proof of the applicant’s qualifications (a certified copy of the official transcript is acceptable) and the first installment must also be included.

As the programme involves regular use of Internet, email, etc., students must possess or have convenient access to a personal computer with at least Windows 95 and an Internet connection to enable them to access materials electronically from the university and to participate in appropriate pedagogic interaction.

How to Apply

All applications must be submitted to Kaplan Higher Education Academy at least 1 month before the start of each intake.

Deadlines for applications for each intakes are contained in the application forms.

Usually, the university takes about 3 weeks to process each application. Therefore, it is advisable for potential students to apply for admission at least 8 weeks before the start of each intake.

Finalised start dates and timetables are dependent on approval by Northumbria University. This approval is subject to minimum class numbers.

International Students

The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore requires all foreign students to hold a valid Student’s Pass for their full-time study in Singapore, a minimum of 90% attendance must be attained. In order to protect the interest of foreign students, regulatory body CPE – Council of Private Education requires all programme fees be covered by Fees Protection Scheme (premium payable by students).
