The new graphic “Navigator” module gives you a graphicview of events in the KnowledgeSync database.

Events can be viewed by application, by schedule, and so on.Drill-down capability allows you to home in on just those events that are of interest to you.

Events can be sorted by application . . .

New events (or new records of any kind in KnowledgeSync) can be added simplyby right-clicking.

Or you can drill-down into the specificevent you are interested in.

Event components are divided into the following categories: schedule, query (triggers),deliverables, subscribers, andworkflow actions.

An event’s “Deliverables” shows all contentthat is eligible to be delivered to selectedindividuals or group.

The “Subscribers” branch shows whohas been selected to receive the deliverable content.

And the “Actions” tab shows any workflowthat has been configured for the event.

Branch contents are displayable thru pop-upwindows whenever you cursor-over a component.

And you can edit the corresponding componentjust by double-clicking on it . . .

. . . From where you are placed into the corresponding tab of the event and may make any changes. When done, you are returned to the GUI.

And if a component refers to an underlyingrecord (such as a subscriber’s record), youcan right-click to access that information.

From where you are again placed intothe details of the corresponding KnowledgeSync record.

Also part of the new Navigator module is theability to create and manage multi-event “Job Streams”.

Job streams allow you to link multiple eventstogether into a logical process. In this example,a four-step job stream streamlines the processingof incoming sales leads.

But there are other new features inversion 7 aside from the Navigator.

Version 7 simplifies the creation ofqueries that use calculated fields.

A new “Edit” button appears in the Query Designer so that you can easily create calculated fields . . .

This ”Edit” button brings you to this “CalculatedColumn Editor” window where you can easily construct your calculated field.

And in the Event Monitor, users now have the abilityto control the sort order of information in the Monitorsimply by clicking on the heading they wish to sort on.
